I’m glad that boxing won tonight over social media.

I had a feeling Paul was better than he showed tonight, but he’s a crap boxer tbf. You could see how much it meant to Fury.

The best fight of them all was Badoo Jack. That was a great win for him tonight

Enjoyed it as a spectacle but the overall quality of boxing was poor - TF should go quietly, JP took him all the way and knocked him down. I don't think TF has a serious boxing career ahead of him!

Off down the Morningside at 6 with our kid and Mrs Col.
Local boy Kyle Hayward fighting the rematch for the regional belt at welterweight.

Should be a decent night 👍
Apologies is at the Athena

And is packed

Can Fury's erratic behaviour be totally put down to his supposed mental illness ?

He must be very difficult to manage, or work with (obviously being a cash cow helps).

What is Fury doing?

Is he trying to avoid the Uysk fight?

Its now off. Considering he didn't want a rematch apparently Fury's demands for the rematch were too much and its ruined the deal.

So publicly he's saying he doesn't want a rematch but in negotiations he's saying he does and he still wants to be 70-30 even if he loses.

A con man and a fraud.

I just don't get it. Fury is a massive favourite to win. Why is he intent on sabotaging his own reputation?

Wish the boards would more proactive as well in demanding they vacate the belts if the fight isn't arranged

... because the man seems to be of the personality type who is bound and determined to get in his own way often?

I don’t think Fury is as much a favourite as people make out.

Uysk would be the best boxer he’s ever thought.

It’s a massively intriguing fight.

He's probably not that bothered if he never fights again.

Got the money and titles - feels he has nothing else to prove.

What about his legacy ?

He beat an aging Klitschko in a borefest of a fight, then beat a very limited Wilder twice after drawing.

Not fighting Joshua or Usyk must surely damage his reputation, after appearing to duck both.

Has the penny finally dropped with the fury fanboys

Nope they'll dig in even harder. He's a fraud and afraid of being found out.

Expect him to fight against 1-2 more bums rinse his fanboys then retire. Soon as Frank starts pressuring him to fight Joyce its over for Fury.

You can't take this sport seriously at all anymore.

It's an entire farce and the fan base is just as farcical. It's basically adult WWE at this point.

Instead of being pantomime villains and heroes they're just the real life equivalents who don't mind getting punched for money.

Why can't you take the entire sport seriously anymore. Assume this isn't just from Fury being a knob?

The influencer crowd have reduced it, or maybe even enhanced it, to some kind of freak show. Costume boxers who earn more than real boxers and look like them. It's repositioned the sport entirely.

Boxing crowds are full of coked up losers standing round pretending to throw punches and dodge invisible enemies until they end up in a scrap.

The boxers and promoters at the top are just tactically avoiding competition to drain the public of money.

Fury is a knob out and out but he's a very loud symptom of a wider and broader disease.

It's just. I mean it's rancid isn't it?

Isn't the first bib arguably a direct consequence of the second bib? Whilst the megastars of boxing fanny around with negotiations, ducking each other and doing everything to avoid putting on what they're famous for... fights... the influencer crowd spotted the market and have filled it.

I'm no fan myself really of the influencer boxing, it's just panto and they're draining money themselves, but surely there's an element here that if top class, top level boxing is doing everything to destroy itself with greed and outright avoidance of fights hardcore/general fans want to see, the influencer crowd will step in and make boxing newsworthy.

So far this year I've seen Wood v Lara and Yarde v Beterbiev which have been absolutely class. Plenty of other cards that have been decent as well

Hoping to see Azim take a step to some form of title this year as well.

Theres plenty of good boxing out there to be seen.
