Joe. Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Bloody superb. This could be the best signing of the summer for us if he's the same player as before.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Pitching such a tent right now. Our midfield is fucking fantastic.
Joe. Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Who the hell are we going to play now? Danns and Abe are going to be bench warmers this season. A midfield of Johnson, King and Wellens. Talk to me.
Walshy5 Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 When I saw 8 pages on this in one day i thought we might have signed him but about 7 pages worth of it is debating wellens ability! For the record im a fan of wellens. His passing range can be first class at times. If you watch the season review dvd you,ll see he made alot of goals last season. Ok some of his passes may go astry at times but if that wasnt the case he,d be playing in a mid table prem side, not in the championship!

Danns, Abe and Johnson for me. King for all his goals isn't effective enough throughout 90 minutes. If promotion needs to happen next season we can't carry passengers which King was in the 2nd half of the season. He has to add more to his game. One things for sure Oakley has to go.
Stevosevic Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 F**k knows who is going to play in our midfield. There will be two pissed off players come October when they have only started 1-2 games. I'm guessing they will be Danns and Abe.

Maybe, but we all know he's going to play. Sven's shown that he's got the balls to drop him though, which is encouraging. And if he does, we know there are some bloody good options lying in wait. I think Wellens will have his place up for grabs for the first time since he's been here. Welcome competition.
Simmo86 Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Danns-Johnson-King ..............or..................... Danns-Johnson-Abe IMO
Narborough_fox Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 4-4-2 diamond? Wellens/ Abe Dann-Johnson King Gallagher-Nugent

Jackirius Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Blimey, Johnson, King, Wellens, Abe and Danns. Insane midfield for a championship team.

RowlattsFox Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 I'd very suprised if Johnson walks straight into the team to face Coventry, how much game time has he had not just this pre-season but the last couple of years? Too many IFs with this signing for me to get too excited just yet, IF he stays fit, IF he's like he was before etc... Saying that though, he was quality before his injuries and weight gain.
Jackirius Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 He is a great player Whilst searching for a football player called blimey, i came across this. Wow... http://services.pinkun.com/forums/pinkun/cs/forums/2117667/PrintPost.aspx West ham players wages.
samstown92 Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Someone always beats me to post Fourth Officials news haha! this is great news, good work Sven
Joe. Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Likes a drink as well. Although sitting on the sidelines for the best part of three seasons is never going to help.
