Bert Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Beckford ain't going anywhere mate, I've said it before and been shot down, but I'm not lying, so I'll say it again, my brother works at the club as an accountant, he knows a lot of the goings on inside the club. From what he has said, Beckford is very popular with the players and staff, always smiling, having a joke etc. add to that he works very hard at his game and is happy here himself. Great post
blueblood88 Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Great post Cheers mate, any developments on Futacs?
Mark_w Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Beckford... 25 league goals in 42 appearances for a promoted team - something we aspire to be I assume you're pro Fryatt? If we do well I'm pretty sure Jermaine will bang em in. Futacs doesn't look like a goalscorer at all. I'd say no more than 12 goals if he signs for us. That's more than Beckford got last year ( ). Anyway, Nugent, Waggy and Vardy will all be able to chip in with some goals, all we need now is a good Target Man who is going to be able to hold the ball up, Futacs fits the bill.

Call me old fashioned but I like my strikers to put the ball in the net ....and what I meant by Futacs scoring 12 in one season is if he has a very good season. Beckford on the other hand, could get 20+ if he were to have a good season.
red5 Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 I thought hoofing the ball up to our forwards was our plan A It was, plan B was hoof it quicker, plan C was, if A and B don't work just hoof it.

Beckford on the other hand, could get 20+ if he were to have a good season. For Beckford to score that many, he'd have to be playing alongside the right type of striker, like he did at Leeds with Becchio. A target man, or just someone who can hold the ball up. Not all strikers have to score 20+ to be a benefit to the team as a whole. Some strikers don't score often, but help the team to score more by keeping the ball at the right end of the pitch or setting up other players. I don't know whether Futacs is good enough yet, but I do think having a player of his type will be a big help to the team.
Grey Fox Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Do you think the scouts got NFP's message confused? They could have, it may have gone something like this: Scout: Nigel I may have found you that young Hungary player you asked me for. Nigel: I said young hungry player you fool! Scout: Oops, well this guy could be both, a young hungry Hungary player. Nigel: Okay where do I sign?
Guest Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Reading this forum regularly I thought it was Sven fuctus not Mario fuctus.
DanTheFox07 Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Fourth Official â€@FourthOfficial_ Birmingham are close to signing Crystal Palace midfielder Darren Ambrose for £250k Don`t know if this is nailed on, but we are missing out on a good player here in my opinion, would be an abslout bargain! better option than koren, younger and cheaper! and for those who wanna doubt his quality just look up his goal against Man utd on youtube!
Happy Fox Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Probably a load of bollocks The Source Football â€@SourceFootyNews RUMOUR: Bolton and Leicester are interested in signing Man City Defender Dedryck Boyata! ‪#BWFC‬ ‪#LCFC‬ ‪#MCFC‬ ‪#Rumours
MGLCFC Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Can't see Bolton wanting another centre half, they have Wheater, Knight and Mills already.
whitlock Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Boyata was on loan at Bolton last year i believe.... id be happy with that, playing with experience in Morgan it would be ideal.
MGLCFC Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Unless Bolton want him as a right back - would like him at Leicester. Will have had a good schooling at Man City alongside his fellow countryman, Vincent Kompany.

Darren Ambrose is just another Paul Gallagher, hits the occasional wonder goal a luxury player who offers nothing in those tough Championship games. If he signed would soon take the idiots away from Wellens and Gally and be getting stick.

There's a reason players like him and Gallagher dont make it at the top.
Father Ted Posted 13 July 2012 Posted 13 July 2012 I really cannot see us signing Boyata. I think it is just lazy journalism. Don't see Bolton wanting him having just signed Mills too... As for Futacs... hmm... would definitely mean that either Waghorn or Schlupp would be pushed out.

Jaspa Posted 13 July 2012 Posted 13 July 2012 Steve Walsh just tweeted expect a big signing soon Does he actually say 'big' then ? Cause that would either be a reference to Futaks size, or were making a big bid for someone
foxesfan1989 Posted 13 July 2012 Posted 13 July 2012 Does he actually say 'big' then ? Cause that would either be a reference to Futaks size, or were making a big bid for someone I'm not sure Steve Walsh is a huge fan of witty wordplay to be honest...
Libertine Dream Posted 13 July 2012 Posted 13 July 2012 Does he actually say 'big' then ? Cause that would either be a reference to Futaks size, or were making a big bid for someone He says big sigining, then later somebody asked, Futacs or Chester? and his reply was "Futacs 4 me"
