I’ve just finished watching Waiting For The Out on BBC iPlayer. It’s quite dark in places but also quite inspiring. It’s about Dan (Josh Finan) who runs philosophy classes in a Cat B prison. He talks to the prisoners about issues like choices, freedom, destiny etc, all the while trying to work out his own past and his relationship with his long-lost father (also an inmate) and coping with his OCD. It’s funny at times and quite involving. Really enjoyed it.

The Boys pulling a game of thrones final 2 seasons. What a waste.

Yeah, very disappointing. This final season felt so small. Tiny set pieces like Amazon had completely slashed their budgets. I was hoping they were saving it all for a massive finale but no, it basically all took place inside a few rooms.

Writing was all over the place too. So inconsistent. Not as bad as GoT by a long stretch, but didn’t feel like a fitting end to one of the best series of recent years.

Drama about a businessman from London who rises to the top to become kingpin of a technology empire, assembles a group of 20 odd ambitious young things to do his bidding in a series of embarrassing and often gruelling challenges until only one is left standing

Give it a watch, the Apprentice it's called — the bloke who plays "Alan Sugar" is incredible

So i finished The Boys s5 yesterday having rewatched the whole series from the beginning over the past month or so and Im not getting the criticism at all. Final 2 seasons definitely weaker than the brilliant first 3 but it hardly fell off a cliff. The show was never about big flashy epic spectacle and always about great characters, satire and ott gore and sex jokes and s5 had plenty of all that. Given how easy it is to totally mess up finales for long running shows/books/films I think they did a decent job.

An exceptional show! I do sympathise with those that gave up because it starts slow but it just leans towards character driven story-lines rather than the high stakes of Breaking Bad...however by the end it's on par if not superior to BB in a lot of ways!

Just watched Dear England on iPlayer. Expecting it to be rubbish but it was actually really good. Follows Southgate's arrival when the England team were at their lowest ebb after the Iceland humiliation and the Big Sam scandal.

Saw similarities with the psychology of our players, noteably the will to win and spilling over into a can't be bothered attitude due in some part to the heavy burden of history. 2015/16 will never be bettered. We all know that and neither will 1966. Probably.

I gave up after 25 mins, it wasn't for me.

Thought the fella playing Southgate had him off to a tee so fair play but as soon as I saw the actors playing Big Sam and Wayne Ronney I couldn't take it seriously.

I should probably given it more of a chance but it all felt a bit odd.

Series one was great and two was epic. A couple of episodes in on series 3 and pretty good as far.

I think a lot of the play was about the social and mental side of how he brought the team and nation together after previous periods of disconnect rather than the football itself and how well they did on the pitch.

Going to give it a shot tonight, looks really good i hope its not just hype

It's quite good. Takes a bit getting into it, slow start, but I think Cage, Gleeson and Haas are terrific in this.
