MC Prussian Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 So the guessing game begins. Which teams suits his role best? And is he gone back from playing as a striker to filling in the CF or CAM role?
Jimothy Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 I would say he'd go abroad but can't see him learning a new language. It's taken him 25 years to learn English and he's not very good at that yet!
Wymsey Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Probably stay at Manchester Utd; Moyes will have a long discussion with him and settle him down. Hasn't hit his greatest form for a while.
Nationwider Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 If he leaves United, he's just about enough of a truculent @%!£ to go to Man City. I don't see him leaving Cheshire to be honest, never mind the UK, so City would be the only viable local option. There isn't really a natural role for him the in Chelsea c.2013 side as I don't see him wanting to play as an out-and-out front man - a new manager might change this, I suppose. If Spurs were to get 4th place, then the thought of Rooney playing deep behind a main striker in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Lennon and Bale either side of him would make me a little moist (were I a Spurs fan). But I'm not, and it won't happen anyway.
ScouseFox Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Can't see him going anywhere in England. If he moves he'll go abroad to whoever gives him the most money.
pSinatra Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Voted chelsea. Can just see it. Based on nothing at all - I've got a feeling for Chelsea too.
sdb Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Bayern (where he'll spend most of his time on the bench). Tough for him really. Not good enough to start regularly for the best 5/6 sides and doubt he'd go below them.
RowlattsFox Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 PSG are the only European team I can see him going too.
SystonFox Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Psg/Chelsea Why are some saying arsenal? They wouldn't spend that transfer fee and they wouldn't spend on his wage
fazzyfox Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Psg/Chelsea Why are some saying arsenal? They wouldn't spend that transfer fee and they wouldn't spend on his wage Nor would he pass through their "Arrivals" gate with his British passport
MooseBreath Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Man City if they want him. That would be in keeping with his level of class and dignity. Failing that Chelsea if they want him. To be honest I think he might find himself short of suitors. He's a c-grade player on the world stage. He's extremely lucky to be at man u.
