KippaxKid Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Hi - MCFC Fan here.... Just on my way down to Leicester now (starting early), are there any Away Fan Pubs near the ground or in the City you can recommend? Looking forward to the game, no MCFC fan is thinking this is going to be easy...would be typical City to lose this after winning from 2-0 down against Bayern a week ago!! I went to the 2-2 draw a few years ago and it was a great atmosphere and we were lucky to get it back to a replay. Should be good banter between the fans (MCFC Fans are not idiots/glory hunters like MUFC and Chelsea fans), we are good natured and used to the lows as well as the highs of football. Anyway here's to a good game and all the best for the rest of the season lads.
VLC86 Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 There is a stream available. The Tudor will be showing this. Your not wrong with this. I think their will be a steady stream..... of man city goals. 1-4 to Man City
Lionator Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 I really want us to go for it tonight and show the world what Leicester City is all about. Put a first team out, get the KP rocking (unlikely I know) and try and rattle them with an early goal like the FA Cup game, then who knows? There is no doubt in my mind that they'll be underestimating us, not out of disrespect but simply because of the opposition in their past two games. If we can beat these, it is bigger than any league victory as it will give the boys an incredible psychological boost.

Notably Sheffield Wednesday last season.
kingcarr21 Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Cant wait for tonight i believe we will go through on penalties kasper pulling off save after save to prove his doubters wrong COYB

Me and my mates will be in there (Mines a Carling ) It's good that you aren't underestimating us but you boys are scoring for fun at the moment whereas we are struggling for goals. Hope it's a good atmosphere again for you, our home support is a bit hit and miss though
MC Prussian Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Just enjoy the atmosphere, the buzz, the chance of playing one of the best teams of the Premier League in a cup match. Everything else is just a bonus.
Bert Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 We should be able to create a better atmosphere than we did v Watford tonight.
GingerrrFox Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Please don't be thinking we are gonna play a full strength team tonight, with QPR on Saturday Nigel will make some changes and that is definitely the right thing to do.
Craig Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 People were saying that they'd take a defeat vs Fulham if it meant that we'd get something at Watford. Look what happened. Still have taken that defeat vs Fulham? Going into Watford on the back of a defeat... Ridiculous as it may sound, we are allowed to want to win two games within the space of five days, regardless of opposition or competition. Tonight's what we do this for. It is a big occasion vs a big side, and it's going to be great, regardless. Edit - And I understand the whole squad rotation thing, but we managed to use 10 of the same players vs Fulham (subs included) that we did vs Watford without any real problem.
KFS Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Raising our game tonight could be positive for performance levels for QPR anyway. Like others, if we don't embarrass ourselves I'll be happy.Always had a soft spot for City for some reason, probably because I fvcking hate United.
MrSpaM Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Please don't be thinking we are gonna play a full strength team tonight, with QPR on Saturday Nigel will make some changes and that is definitely the right thing to do. We may as well just give them the win now if we aren't playing a full strength squad, I can't see many players being dropped if any from the weekend. Think it would be slightly disrespectful to the fans if we changed everything up, It's a full house and everybody is expecting us to give this everything. Playing the B side isn't an option. I personally will be extremely p****ed if we turn up tonight and more than a couple of our usual starting 11 are benched.
BrummieFOX Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 There's no better way than preparing for a big game (QPR) than winning the game before.
BrummieFOX Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 I personally will be extremely p****ed if we turn up tonight and more than a couple of our usual starting 11 are benched. Same here.

VinceNoir Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 I'm really looking forward to this now! I like City and their fans and it was brilliant when we played them last time. I obviously hope we pull it off, but if not, I hope they leave the KP knowing that they've been in a game.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 I personally will be extremely p****ed Started drinking already!
Captain... Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 It isn't all of our fans at all. Did you listen to the phone-in yesterday? The majority (Stringer's words) said they'd even take a draw on Saturday over a win tonight which I found remarkable. A draw?! I'll be wanting all three on Saturday, I believe no side in this league is unbeatable. Tonight's potentially a game we'll remember for years. Of course we'll potentially lose 0-6, but I doubt it. If this was their attitude then we may has well have played the U18's at Wycombe and have been done with it from the off. IF the choice was beat Man City lose to QPR, or lose on penalties to Man City then draw with QPR (which we will be happy with as an away result) or stuffed 6-0 by Man City buit beat QPR which would you choose? I know that is not a choice any of us can make, but if it was that choice, I would take 3 points away at QPR. ...but I am with you in saying we should give everything in this match, this is not a choice we have to make, there is no way of knowing how decisions made now will affect the game on Saturday. Look at Huddersfield last season, rested most of the first team and we went on an appalling run after that. I could understand resting RDL if there is an injury risk, but otherwise he must play to counter their pace. At the end of the day it is a competitive game of football and I can't believe anyone would be going in with any other attitude than we must win it. If not and if the cup really is such a distraction we should have just not turned up at Carlisle. To complain now when we have worked so hard to get a great tie at home against one of the best in the league, is just baffling.

If not and if the cup really is such a distraction we should have just not turned up at Carlisle. To complain now when we have worked so hard to get a great tie at home against one of the best in the league, is just baffling. Option A. Losing to QPR will not end our Championship campaign (and I expect it to happen regardless of what happens tonight) nor will it make it if we win there. If we win tonight, we are in with a genuine shout of winning silverware in my opinion. I'd rather lose 6-0 and win at QPR than lose on penalties and draw too. A win at QPR would make a great day and whilst losing 6-0 would be depressing, it's become pretty normal for everyone and the ones who mock will probably be the sorts who were out three rounds ago. Losing on penalties would be absolutely cruel, and a draw at QPR, whilst not a bad result, is nothing special. The thought of resting players in the possibility they get injured is absolutely ludicrious in my opinion. Fair enough if you're playing Wycombe or Carlisle in the first round - but we're playing Man City in the quarter finals. This is a massive game and it should be treated as such. There's no guarantees in football, and certainly with injuries. Craig's post about Fulham/Watford said it all for me, two excellent wins where we found the net 7 times. We should treat it like any league game. If De Laet isn't 100% then don't play him, and I'd say the same if we were at home to Barnsley tonight. Play the best team we can and make our own luck by throwing everything at tonight, and Saturday, and every other game. If we win tonight, we will savour it for ages. Tonight is potentially a memorable night for this club and the thought of worsening our chances due to 'potential of injuries' makes my skin crawl.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Fulham match atmosphere at the end left me buzzing for days, if we get anywhere near that again tonight I'll be happy. Sing loud and let's enjoy it!

If we win tonight, we are in with a genuine shout of winning silverware in my opinion. Fair play, if I was in such a position I would take the 3 points at QPR, when we beat City though, we will most likely face, Arsenal, Chelsea or United in the Semi then Final, so I wouldn't say we had a genine chance of silverware. But I wouldn't complain. I think we are both in agreement though that we play this match to win it, one game at a time and all that, we start thinking about QPR tomorrow. There would be nothing more sickening than resting half the first team for this match, lose, then go to QPR and lose that too.
