Dan Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 This transfer is going to happen because we didn't go up in the last two seasons. Simple as that. He wouldn't have stayed here in the Championship and even if we go up I think we're powerless in this one. I've got nothing against him if he leaves for Milan. He saw out his contract which he could've quite easily not done given there've been bids from higher ranked clubs and he's going to get a good move at the end of it. It's a shame that we'll miss out on a fee but on we move. I don't think he's irreplaceable and certainly not if we go up.
Dan Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 I think he would come its just whether we were willing to make that kind of investment in a keeper. Begovic has proven he is one of the best keepers in the Premiership but there are no real moves for him considering the keeper situation at other clubs and Stoke seem sweet on Butland. If he's one of the best keepers in the Premier League then why is he going to sign for Leicester, and why is he going to be replaced by Butland who really isn't all that?
J.Lisemore Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Hennessey is a very good keeper, don't be fooled by the fact he's not getting in for Wolves. He needs to kick start his career. Agreed. He's 26, has over 40 international caps and has Premier League experience. Best years are still ahead of him.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Agreed. He's 26, has over 40 international caps and has Premier League experience. Best years are still ahead of him. Indeed they are, he will be a good replacement if Kasper was to leave
Guest Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Why would the media want to unsettle us? Because the MPs told them to!
Kitchandro Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 We shouldn't be worried about him going on a free in the summer. We should be more concerned with us getting promotion. He'll be worth far more than £3.5m to us if we go up.
Manwell Pablo Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Yeah I hated that, perhaps Piper actually as well. Izzet was heartbreaking but almost mutual given the dough he was on. Gudjonsson when he went to AZ Alkmaar after that wonder season for us. Not much to show for a team whose not been in the PL for nearly 11 seasons. We've been the pits, haha!! Still can't believe how good Joey was that season like a man possessed.
Ric Flair Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Still can't believe how good Joey was that season like a man possessed. Stoke away when they somehow beat us 3-2 he was phenomenal.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Leicester Mercury says that the reports of interest from Milan were "wide of the mark".
Corky Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Leicester Mercury says that the reports of interest from Milan were "wide of the mark". Bit like Kasper's goal kicks
sylofox Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Sell him, but try and get him back until the end of the season. They'll do well to go any further in the CL and they won't qualify for next season as things stand, so yeh let them have him for the re-build........but not until the summer. Yeah they are really thick and going to fall for that one. ffs
Deucalion Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Leicester Mercury says that the reports of interest from Milan were "wide of the mark". This is what my source tells me too. There're really after Conrad.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 This is what my source tells me too. There're really after Conrad. Hopefully they offer £25 million for Conrad, there is no better bench warmer around.
Donut Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 He is not going to go, end of story. It doesnt make sense to us, it doesnt make sense for him, and it doesnt make sense from Milan's point of view either. So stop worrying and fretting over this non story
leicesterseddon Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 He's the best 'keeper we've had in a while, but there's no way AC bloody Milan are going to want him. What a load of shite.
Deucalion Posted 26 January 2014 Posted 26 January 2014 http://www.insidefutbol.com/2014/01/26/kasper-schmeichel-honoured-by-interest-from-ac-milan-admits-agent/123953/? ???
Carl the Llama Posted 26 January 2014 Posted 26 January 2014 http://www.insidefutbol.com/2014/01/26/kasper-schmeichel-honoured-by-interest-from-ac-milan-admits-agent/123953/? ??? It's like something out of Football Manager. Just trying to drum up interest in his client in case we don't get promoted. I can't see him leaving if we get into the premier league, and Nige would be a fool to not try his hardest to keep him(and we know he isn't).
Strokes Posted 26 January 2014 Posted 26 January 2014 He's the best 'keeper we've had in a while, but there's no way AC bloody Milan are going to want him. What a load of shite. They had spider kalac and he wasn't a patch on Kasper.
Head Honcho Posted 27 January 2014 Posted 27 January 2014 Yeah they are really thick and going to fall for that one. ffs If they want him that much they will.....whats with the smileys ya gimp?
cityfanlee23 Posted 27 January 2014 Posted 27 January 2014 Why would the media want to unsettle us? Simple example, Media Vs England international team..
hackneyfox Posted 27 January 2014 Posted 27 January 2014 Simple example, Media Vs England international team.. Yes, that helps sell papers, it doesn't explain why the media would want to unsettle us, it's hardly likely to lead to increased sales. Any luck on that £140m per season for promotion?
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 January 2014 Posted 27 January 2014 If they want him that much they will.....whats with the smileys ya gimp? If they can sign him for nothing now why on earth would they pay money for him just to loan him back,
sylofox Posted 27 January 2014 Posted 27 January 2014 If they want him that much they will.....whats with the smileys ya gimp? Easy really muppet. Why would they pay for him and loan him back? If they don't need him yet they get him to sing a pre contract agreement then he is there's at no cost.
Out Foxed Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Yes, that helps sell papers, it doesn't explain why the media would want to unsettle us, it's hardly likely to lead to increased sales. Any luck on that £140m per season for promotion? in case you haven't noticed. sports journalism has gone down the shitter. "club in crisis" allows no mark journos to fulfill their quota of tripe for the week; that and 5 or 10 things what we learnt when we watched the footy. they create a never ending stream of crisis to resurgence and back to crisis. garbage.
