What does everyone think will happen with him?

He still has another season left on his contract I believe and his apparent "big wage" means no other championship club could afford it.

Will he just sit in the under 21s and try and force his way into the team or go out on loan with us paying majority of his wage again?

Anyway what do you think? Would anyone give him another chance and a crack at the premier league?

He should move on for the good of his career. He's finished with us, hasn't been used all season and we've improved without him.

I don't "hate" like some but I concede that his time at the club has come to an end, we are looking at much better players now and it's time to part ways. Similar to Waghorn.

doesnt deserve to be in our squad in the prem. We got promoted with little to no contribution from him so certainly shouldnt get on the pitch for us in the prem. He played his part in previous seasons (inconsistently) but now its time to let him go. Will prob need to pay him off though to get him out of his contract but if we save money on wages in the long run its best decision for everyone. If he was professional then he would want to leave to play football rather than sit in reserves and pick up the money. Will see what happens

He's no longer needed here so either pay him off and release him or loan him out for another season then wait until his contract runs up.

He isn't good enough. He's quite a skilled player but he's not got nearly enough to his game. Lower Championship player.

Well he has a year left on his contract so he is entitled to those wages. Thus we should try and recoup a nominal transfer fee from any interested party, say 100k, so at least that 100k can be offset against the 1.05 million of pay he has left on the remainder of his contract, allegedly. And we nurse a mere 900k loss.

A salutary lesson, if ever there was one, but one I'm quite sure the Club has now learnt

If we give more than 1 year contracts to many of those now out of contract then we clearly haven't.

Although he was good for us a couple of years ago, I do feel its time for a parting of the waves. One of the best passers of a ball and free kick takers we have had since being out of the premier league

Hope Preston go up cos then they may be tempted to get him on a permanent. If not, a loan back there would be best for all parties if we can't sell.

He strikes me as the sort of norris who'll sit here all season getting paid and refuse to leave.

Otherwise he'd have packed up and moved off for a paycut already.

Really does come across as a self absorbed ****, frankly. Hopefully I'm being very unfair and I'm miles off.

Not even in Preston 's first team , sub at weekend , pay him off .

He's played the majority of their games since joining them, scored 2 league goals and got 7 assists, so not setting the world alight, but they obviously see him as good enough.

Not worth wasting one of our 25 squad places for the Prem, hopefully we can get some money from Preston for him, but most likely we will have to buy him out of his contract and send him on his way.

I did used to think he could be better for us in the Prem than in Champ, because of his style of play, he would get a bit more time on the ball, and be able to ping them in, but I think the Prem has changed in the last few years with a lot more teams playing a high tempo pressing game off the ball.

Cheers for the screamers Paul, but your time here is done, now please don't be a cvnt about it, and just leave.

I agree he's a good striker of the ball but I think that's asking a bit much
