foxfanazer Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 If we spend £10m on a player with no prem experience I'll be shocked. Surely much better value out there! I've heard rumours of Michu to hull for 6 mil so 10 for Ulloa would be absurd imo

foxfanazer Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 How long is left on michu's contract.I honestly don't know. I'm guessing a year now you've said that
gibbin82 Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 I joined this forum because I have had a large part of my lifetime being interested in Leicester City Football Club. and I thought that by joining up with a few others who shared the same passion as my own, that I might find a friendly bunch of people and even get a little inside information prior to it breaking on the Mercury. However things as not as I hoped, all we seem to get is mostly wild speculation and pointless chatter with only the odd insightful comment or genuine friendly humour to break up the tedium. But what's worse for a group of people who all claim to support the same team it's quite pathetic that for a slight difference of opinion you get supposedly mature people who from a distance appear as they want to tear each other's heads off. While that may be bad enough for fellow City fans, just try to imagine how juvenile it must seem to rival fans such as Brighton who try to come here to instigate friendly debate. JUST GROW UP WILL YOU, YOU ALL SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE SAME TEAM!

Callabinho Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 Is Ulloa is really good player? I don't know if it's been mentioned at all but, I think we need really good players?
Buzzell Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 Is Ulloa is really good player? I don't know if it's been mentioned at all but, I think we need really good players? Yeah he's decent but not worth the £10m Brighton are holding out for.
Babylon Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/leicester-city/10959597/Leicester-City-set-to-make-final-off-of-7.5m-for-Brighton-forward-Leonardo-Ulloa.html Nigel Pearson is set to return with a final £7.5million offer for Leonardo Ulloa and has offered Jamie Vardy a new contract. Pearson wants to sign a proven goalscorer this summer and is prepared to smash Leicester City’s transfer record with a renewed bid for Ulloa, the Brighton and Hove Albion forward. Leicester have already had at least three offers rejected for the Argentinian but are weighing up whether to pay the asking price and finally end their protracted pursuit. Sunderland forward Connor Wickham has also been considered by last season’s Championship winners with an inquiry made last week. But with Sunderland set to offer Wickham a new deal, Pearson is ready to step up his attempts to sign Ulloa who has always been the club’s No. 1 target. Ulloa, 27, is believed to have told Brighton of his desire to leave but any move has been held up by the steep asking price. Pearson is also focusing on keeping his squad together for the forthcoming season and Vardy, the forward, has been offered a new four-year deal. Vardy scored 16 goals last season and was the subject of interest from Southampton in the January transfer window. England under-21 international Liam Moore and highly-rated youngster Jeff Schlupp have also been offered one-year extensions.
surrifox Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 one year extension for Liam - I wonder what the thinking is there- surely they would want him on a long contract
kingfox Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 Bid confirmed to have gone in, just over £6 million http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Leicester-City-make-bid-Brighton-striker-Leonardo/story-21447446-detail/story.html
chapero82 Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 6m according to sky and I'm going to trust Nigel on this one
Finnaldo Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 Jesus Christ. £7.5mil?! Sounds more like £6.5 mil from that article.
Jimothy Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 Jesus Christ. £7.5mil?! I'm pretty sure Jesus would cost more than £7.5m.
Mark_w Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 If Nigel Pearson is this determined to get him then I bloody hope he succeeds.
RowlattsFox Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 I think we need to remember that most of these price quotes will depend on extras like appearances and staying in the premier league. Sometimes you over pay for a player and sometimes you pick up a bargain. Balances itself out. If Pearson is confident then so am I.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 I'm pretty sure Jesus would cost more than £7.5m. He'd be a rubbish goalie with them holy hands
Dan Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 I'm pretty sure Jesus would cost more than £7.5m. I think we actually paid four hundred thousand euros for him in January.
tommyh Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 this would be an absolute bargain if accepted, somehow think they may stand firm with 10million tho!
foxfanazer Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 I'm pretty sure Jesus would cost more than £7.5m.Heard he's not very good at handling crosses
