queensguardfox Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 i dont think 7-8million is alot in the grand scheme of things, when its survival we are talking about. even if he scores 5 in key games that get us the 3 points. While vardy and Nugent 10 each. It still wont matter because it could ensure survival which will give us so much more spending power next year. Its not as if NP has just watched his Youtube compilation and decided to sign him up, i can imagine he has spent so many hours with his staff researching him, finding out his test results analysing his runs etc. What ever Ulloa can bring to the team is something we are short of. an believes it strengthens our side in such away that it will help ensure survival this season. I have total faith behind NP and all the staff at LCFC. I dont think they would be throwing 7m just for the sake of it, Just to keep the fans happy. If some one said to me would you ensure survival for 8 million quid id be going with a bucket round the KP for a Whip round. so im looking less at the value of the player, but at what the player can ensure. KEEP THE FAITH
Ric Flair Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 To right. Best post so far. Ballotelli maybe only valued at £14m but take his wages into concideration then the transfer would be including wages about £30m, He's on about £180,000k a week. I guarantee if and when we bid about £8 million+ for Ulloa and you accept it, you'll all be on here saying you've had our kegs down. Truth is, he isn't worth that amount but football has gone stupid again this summer. You know we are getting desperate and i'm sure you'll get way too much for him.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 If we bid for Wickham and it gets accepted then these rejected bids will be a blessing in disguise
DanTheFox07 Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 I say bid 7-7.5 and if they turn that down then turn our attention to wickham!

I'll be honest with you and can say I wouldn't ever say that if he went for £8m. He has better skill than vardy and Nugent. Totally different player but much better. If you get him then you'll not be disapointed thats for sure. He'll suit your sytem so well and can see him getting a hatful of goals. Yes, I'll be gutted if he goes and we'll be fighting relegation without him.

Babylon Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 He has better skill than vardy and Nugent. Totally different player but much better.

Brighton Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 I would say based on the goal's vardy and nugent scored that this is a very dubious post! If Vardy or Nugent had played in our side last season then they'd have scored less than Leo. Ulloa was stood with his arms folded most of the times and we had on average 1 or 2 shots on target per game. If Ulloa was in your side last season then he'd have bagged more than Mcmormack and don't forget Ulloa doesn't take penaltys.
Brighton Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 Can't believe you find that funny concidering you want him. I've seen him play every game whereas you haven't.
teblin Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 Can't believe you find that funny concidering you want him. I've seen him play every game whereas you haven't. You haven't with Vardy!
Brighton Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 Doubt that! Are you his Agent by any chance!? Have a look at the table and our results and see where we'd have finished without Ulloa. Then take into account we've lost Upson, Ward, and 5 other first team players then yes, we are fighting relegation without Ulloa.
Brighton Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 You haven't with Vardy! I've seen enough on your site match player. Ulloa is a better player without a doubt.
ToeKneeHandCock Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 I've seen enough on your site match player. Ulloa is a better player without a doubt. So were not qualified to comment on Ulloa because we haven't seen him play every game but you've watched a few highlights and feel you can offer a proper opinion on Vardy? Seems fair.
Devonfox1884 Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 I've seen enough on your site match player. Ulloa is a better player without a doubt. They are totally different types of players, so it is unfair to compare them. You wouldn't have seen Ulloa run nearly the full length of the pitch to score against Millwall, just like you wouldn't have seen Vardy score the header that Ulloa did on the last game of the season for you against forest. It's completely ludicrous to compare the two.

J.Lisemore Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 Brian Deane - Ulloa we can compare... Dickov - Vardy we can compare.... whereas Ulloa - Vardy we can't compare...
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 I've seen enough on your site match player. Ulloa is a better player without a doubt. Priceless!
MozeyCo Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 I've seen enough on your site match player. Ulloa is a better player without a doubt. Are you kidding though? Honestly if Vardy is a bad as you say he is, I'd still take him over Ulloa. At least Vardy tries to win the ball, and does this thing called running.
Stadt Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 I've not seen much if Ulloa but he seems to be a more gifted player than Vardy.
dayday Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 So Nigel is going back with a 7.5 million bid .... I think if they don't except that...then the deal is dead.
LCFC FOX Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 Ulloa is a better all round striker than Vardy. But they are two very different types. Vardy is a fast and skilful where as Ulloa is strong and good in the air. Together they will be a force. Especially if we come straight back down and that's our championship strike force
Rob1742 Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 I think this probably still has legs. Him missing a game in Spain due to a minor injury (yawn) would suggest there is a good chance of this going through.
Simo86 Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 I think this probably still has legs. Him missing a game in Spain due to a minor injury (yawn) would suggest there is a good chance of this going through. Or he is actually injured
