Jimothy Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Saturday.. Everton 2 Sunderland 1 Newcastle 1 Wba 3 Hull 1 Burnley 1 Foxes 1 Southampton 0 Burnley scoring?!?
Jimothy Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Yep.. They're playing Hull!!! Yeah, but they're still Burnley!
Guest Bilo Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Imagine the table then..... 15 Leicester 37 16 Hull 35 17 Newcastle 35 -------------------- 18 Sunderland 33 ® 19 Burnley 27 ® 20 QPR 27 Never in a million years would we be that fortunate though, this is Leicester we're talking about.
ScouseFox Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 The fact that if we win next week (possible) and Sunderland lose (very possible) we'd (imo) be all but safe is so crazy. We were about 5 points off 19th exactly a month ago and we could be all but safe in 5 days.
smudger63 Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 That would be dreamland Which is why it wont happen. We`re Leicester City, nothing comes to us without having to suffer first!
Clever Fox Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 I think one more win will be enough with our goal difference once we don't get complacent. We need to keep up the high tempo level of performances.

Need massive favour from Everton just to keep pressure off us in case we didn't get a win over Southampton.
Leicesterpool Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 This weekends results i think Everton 2-1 Sunderland Villa 1-0 West Ham Hull 2-2 Burnley Leicester 1-1 Southampton Newcastle 0-0 West Brom Stoke 0-1 Tottenham Palace 0-3 Man Utd Sunday Man City 4-0 QPR Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool Monday Arsenal 1-2 Swansea
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Reckon Burnley will score at Hull at least, can see a draw. We really need a win on Saturday to be honest
RobHawk Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Looking at the run ins, you can't help but feel confident, especially the way we are playing. There's just so many unknowns still though and its impossible to predict how things will end. I do think we will be safe but which Sunderland team will show up for the rest of the season? Will Newcastle get another point? Will Villa start looking ahead the the cup final? Can hull actually win another game? Will QPR and Burnley improve now the pressures off? Its going to be exciting stuff and we could be right back in it on Saturday if results don't go our way! If they do go our way we could be effectively safe! Its pure definition of squeaky bum time but destiny is in our own hands! Beat Southampton and we have 1 foot in the premier league next year!
weller54 Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 This weekends results i think Everton 2-1 Sunderland Villa 1-0 West Ham Hull 2-2 Burnley Leicester 1-1 Southampton Newcastle 0-0 West Brom Stoke 0-1 Tottenham Palace 0-3 Man Utd Sunday Man City 4-0 QPR Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool Monday Arsenal 1-2 Swansea Don't know what would be the biggest shock!.. Southampton getting a point at the KP or Swansea winning at The Emirates???
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Think it's big that Arsenal won by 2, we won't be in the bottom 3 at 3 o'clock on Saturday regardless of what Sunderland do in the early game, could be a big boost mentally.
kingcarr21 Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 For me if we beat Southampton on Saturday then its job done. We would be on 37 points with a superior goal difference. Therefore Sunderland, Hull and Newcastle would need to get 38 points theoretically (due to GD) in order for us to go down. In fact if we go on that basis then we only need 1 win from our last 3 games. I would be very surprised if all 3 teams made 38 points. Thats not even including our other 2 fixtures where a draw turns out to be an absolutely massive point at this stage of the season. If we lose to Southampton then so be it. What we cant do is get on the players backs. Hull going below us in the league just makes survival that little bit more realistic.
lgfualol Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 How many defenders will Newcastle have? I thought they were bare as it is, and now two more red cards. I think West Brom will win 2-1.
foxfanazer Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 How many defenders will Newcastle have? I thought they were bare as it is, and now two more red cards. I think West Brom will win 2-1. Think I read somewhere that they could have 1 recognised defender available against WBA

They'll have Coloccini and Dummet I think. Probably play those two centre back and shift Colback or Anita to left back with Jonas or Ryan Taylor at right back.

Carlos88LCFC Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 McClaren turns down the Newcastle job: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32591747 Think ourselves lucky we aren't a Newcastle fan. They will be very lucky if they win another game. Yes, they have a pretty good run-in but surely everyone will be looking at Newcastle as 3 points? I'd feel so much better if they swapped places with Sunderland! Sunderland are at least giving a good at it, unfortunately for us. What player is going to want to play for a manager that isn't wanted by the fans, the owners and some of the other players? Pretty much all of them seem to not care about Newcastle as a club. Tielemans63 Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 I reckon Hull will beat Burnley comfortably to be honest.
Finnaldo Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Manage a win against Southampton and we're above Newcastle- if they carry on as they are then we should definitely be safe by then.
Finnaldo Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 I reckon Hull will beat Burnley comfortably to be honest. I reckon Burnley will have a real go at the end of the season, I see QPR relegated before them.
cc_star Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Manage a win against Southampton and we're above Newcastle- if they carry on as they are then we should definitely be safe by then. If we could get above Newcastle/Villa by bettering their result at the weekend, then there's 3/4 teams cushion, while they could win to leapfrog us in the remaining two games, the more teams that are there, the more unlikely it is because the chances of them all winning becomes more remote. Especially with our better GD
