KFS Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Wouldn't say we're overly using 'long ball'. There's a lot of quality in the passes that are made recently. We do work the ball in possession too.
GingerrrFox Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 https://vine.co/v/eZBB2iZH6dI The dictionary definition of long ball right there.

Dan Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 But we do play a fair bit of long ball. We have the ideal forward to chase after them and make them effective. We can play nice stuff when we want but we shouldn't take offence to people calling us long ball. We are very direct. I think we're a poor man's Atletico Madrid.
Stadt Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 We transition quickly but more often than not we'll play short, quick passes and get it wide.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 We've been very varied lately, short concise passing, long ball, in to the channel on the right for Vardy, quick through balls from midfield. I've come to expect such simplicity and nonsense from non LCFC fans.
AKCJ Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 We've been very direct recently. We've played the long ball to get to Vardy and Ulloa and we've then played the pretty stuff up top. It might not be Barcelona, but it's effective and the results have proven so.
AKCJ Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Don't think i've seen this talked about. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/05/hull-city-arsenal-ahmed-elmohamady-dive-just-awful lol
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Isn't he the same pillock who was running round screaming innocence after being sent off for the most blatant handball of all time, and still insisting it wasn't even after everyone had seen the footage. What an absolute twat. One thing I didn't notice at the time I found funny was Wasyl going in two footed on a player that didn't exist when Newcastles awful striker fell over when through on goal. Was obviously an attempt at a block but didn't half look like he was tackling thin air, quite funny.

Shows how bad the grammar is even I can pick it up lol He should be sent off for that even if only retrospectively.

ARTY_FOX Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Nah, that was Quinn. He did punch it into the goal against Newcastle. When he was off celebrating it got disallowed and played innocent but was not sent off.

RowlattsFox Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Worst thing is he actually got a free kick for that, I remember seeing it at the time.
MC Prussian Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Impressive from Albrighton. His exclusion from the team for so long is made ever more baffling week in week out with some of his current performances. He has been excellent since West Ham at home. Maybe he was left out to enable the coaches to strengthen his defensive abilities and his stamina in enable him to play the wing back role effectively plus his inclusion in the team as a wingback rather than a winger once we'd got a reliable back sorted should not be dismissed. That's what I was thinking. Maybe the manager and his assistants saw some lack of power or precision in his game - so they took him aside to work some more on his deficiencies. Always baffles me when people start coming up with conspiracy theories why players aren't starting. (And yes, I did refer to THAT tweet myself, jokingly)

Ah yeah that's the moment I meant, must of got confused with something else, still, what a mammoth idiot.

weller54 Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 John Carver.. The best coach in the Premier league... By John Carver.
Fox in the North Posted 7 May 2015 Posted 7 May 2015 According to BBC, villa have received a £150million bid to be taken over. Best hope they get relegated before they get reasonably organised again.
