Ric Flair Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 They must be offloading Campbell at this rate. Unless they're playing the 'fvck FFP' tactic. Low wages. Massive parachute payments plus the £80 million they earnt last year. They'll get £5 million for Marshall, £10 million for Caulker and they've saved about £3 million on Bellamy's wages.
ToeKneeHandCock Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 so they've signed Macheda, Le Fondre and Grabban? And Guerra too!
Tom's Pasta Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 They've definitely got to offload a striker at this rate. Not a bad strike force for a championship side at all that
mintyda Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 Cardiff's Fraizer Campbell will hold talks with Leicester on Friday. Foxes have bid 800k that triggers release clause. #LCFC #Foxes #CCFC Saw this on twitter some bloke called soriebah kajue
kingcarr21 Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 For £800,000 Campbell is an absolute steal. Could quite easily break into 1st team. Could certainly pitch in with a few goals for us

Ric Flair Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 For that sort of price he's well worth bringing in, but I maintain we will still need one more genuine quality striker.

RizLCFC Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 Hope it's true and that the £800k isn't just a plucked out figure from other articles I've read. Campbell and Ulloa with Nugent (maybe), Vardy and Wood is pretty decent!

Campbell and Ulloa with Nugent (maybe), Vardy and Wood is pretty decent! Think Wood would be surplus to requirements if someone like Ulloa or Cordozo arrives unfortunately.
Happy Fox Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 Fraizer Campbell release clause triggered as Leicester make £800k bid for Cardiff striker Campbell could stay in Premier League with newly-promoted Foxes He was top scorer for Cardiff last season with nine goals as they were relegated West Brom, Everton and QPR all linked with striker By SORIEBAH KAJUE PUBLISHED: 10:39, 5 June 2014 | UPDATED: 10:39, 5 June 2014 0 View comments Leicester City have triggered Fraizer Campbell’s release clause at Cardiff with an £800,000 bid for the striker. The 26-year-old was the Bluebirds’ top scorer in all competitions last season with nine goals as they were relegated from the Premier League. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had been desperate to keep the England international to spearhead their promotion challenge next term. +2 Red alert: Fraizer Campbell is a target of newly-promoted Leicester City +2 Marksman: Campbell was top scorer for Cardiff last season with nine goals But those chances appear to be receding after these latest developments. Campbell will now be allowed to hold talks with the Foxes on Friday under the terms of the release clause. West Brom, who are still without a manager, had been strongly linked with the marksman but a deal has been unable to progress while they continue their search. Everton and QPR had also been associated with the former Manchester United youngster as they seek to bolster their respective attacks this summer. However, the newly-promoted club appear to have stolen a march on their rivals and Nigel Pearson will hope to convince Campbell to make a switch. lcfcsnow Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 If this is Nugent's replacement then it's a good deal, but if they're all staying then our selection of strikers are much of a muchness. It's essential we have quality, not quantity up front.
LCCFox96 Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 £800k is an absolute snip of what Frazier Campbell is worth. Would be a good signing if we can pull that off and will certainly add to the quality in the squad. If he does come in I would still like to see a big target man arriving alongside him. Positive news if the reports are true though.
ousefox Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 Great price but pointless if Nugent stays. Would personally rather have Campbell.
Happy Fox Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 I see him as more competition with Vardy than anything because this guy like Vardy this guy works his bollocks off and we need that if we are to be successful next season.
Nick Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 He's quick but not super Lloyd fast....... What he can do better than any other striker we have currently on our books is score headers.
Finn Claw II Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 He's more proven than anything else we have. £800k is a snip - get it done! Vardy, Nugent, Campbell and a new target man and I'd be happy. Season on loan for Wood methinks though that wouldn't happen until August 31st. Unless he is only driven by money I can see us fending off QPR and looking at who we have already he must fancy his chances of getting regular football
Stevosevic Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 Goodbye Nugent? As I fully expect another striker as well.
teblin Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 Decent player,ok for 800k. Goal scoring record is a little pants though.
Fox Ulike Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 Yes he’s similar to what we have but we don’t have any serious back-up for Nugent or Vardy whatsoever. Neither Nuge or Vards are nailed on certs to excel in the Premier League. They will need some back-up. If we started the season with 6 strikers of Campbell/Vardy/Nugent/Ulloa/Wood/GTF I would be pretty happy with that.
dpjfox Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 Decent hard working striker ex Man Utd good price i imagine is the salary is not excessive could well be a signing
