jayfox26 Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Prefer J-Rod! think he's a bit too good for us, think he'll end up at Real Madrid. 5 in 5 in the world cup is a decent record!
Rushden fox Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 https://twitter.com/PremierTurkiye/status/483955033583931392/photo/1 Bit of a gut...but at least he's younger than GTF :-)
muzzy1981 Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Had massive potential for years and started to fulfill it last year. Can't see Sunderland wanting to get rid easily Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 I'd be willing to pay decent crack for him. Compared to Ulloa, he's shown he might already be up to PL standard and has potench. It can't just be me that wants Harry banned from the forum for this? ****ing hell, potench? Really?
Harry - LCFC Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 It can't just be me that wants Harry banned from the forum for this? ****ing hell, potench? Really? It's the new lingo on the streets. Got to keep up
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 I think he's better than Wood. But not 9 million quid better. For the right price, I'd take a gamble on him. But only for the right price. For me that would be the arse-end of 4 million.
Happy Fox Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Make that £6m according to the Mail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2681227/Connor-Wickham-wanted-Leicester-City-Nigel-Pearson-considers-6m-Sunderland-striker.html
SlaneyLCFC Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 If anything it would be a more realistic target considering the ulloa saga is pretty much dead in the water. Great signibg if it happens. Him and vardy up front will be pretty good
Carnosaurkid Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 I remember watching him play for Ipswich againist us a few years back. We absolutely hammered them that day but he looked a class above everyone that day and I turned to the guy next to me and said "This guy is going to go on to greater things". What I'm concerned about is that he looks finally settled at Sunderland and a move could disrupt his developement. He saved Sunderlands skin last season after many seasons of disappointment. But 5 Million for a player with one year left? Maybe he's already decided to not sign a new deal until later on this season and that would leave Sunderland in a very treacherous position.I'd love to see him here, but someone will leave if he does come in, we already have Vardy, Nugent, Wood, Taylor-Fletcher & Hopper competing.
Hack Posted 5 July 2014 Posted 5 July 2014 We already have a player like this, Chris Wood. Wickham is a flop. 5 good games at the end of the reason, and people want to sign him, give me a break. Don't agree with the flop comment, but as i have stated before, you are right we could very well have our Wickham with Chris Wood. Wickham is not your typical target man either. Great player with potential. Would not be disappointed if this does happen
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 5 July 2014 Posted 5 July 2014 Exactly what we need in terms of his style of play. Strong, good in the air, not too old/slow. Seems like he needs to settle down at one club for a few years and if Pearson can get him focused on his football and to cut the sort of rubbish seen in the picture above then it could work for both parties. Not sure we'd get him for £5million but it's a good starting point. John Percy is usually a reliable journalist too so you'd imagine there's something in this.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 5 July 2014 Posted 5 July 2014 I think Sunderland will go done next season. They should cash in on him and add a bit of quality throughout the squad. Would LOVE him here. Him and Vardy upfront would be lethal! Alrbrighton swings it in to Wickham, Wickham heads it into the path of Vardy... GOOOOOAL! Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 5 July 2014 Posted 5 July 2014 Would be much happier with Wickham than Ulloa! Been excellent most times I've seen him. Sounds like he'd cost less, has Premier league experience, he's younger and he's English which would also help resale value. Come on Nige, make it happen!
ozleicester Posted 5 July 2014 Posted 5 July 2014 only as long as he is only getting les than 30K per week
Kinowe Soorie Posted 5 July 2014 Posted 5 July 2014 He has looked very sharp against us. And I think he fits the profile of the type of player that we require.
dbtcity Posted 5 July 2014 Posted 5 July 2014 The fact that we're not willing to match frazier Campbells wage pretty much tells me we stand no chance in matching Wickhams
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 5 July 2014 Posted 5 July 2014 http://www.goal.com/id-ID/news/1108/sepakbola-inggris/2014/07/05/4937310/connor-wickham-masuk-daftar-belanja-leicester-city Anyone speak Indonesian??
teblin Posted 5 July 2014 Posted 5 July 2014 The fact that we're not willing to match frazier Campbells wage pretty much tells me we stand no chance in matching Wickhams Get the feeling Campbell is in case nugent doesn't sign Not very often John Percy is wrong ... Something in this then!
Tielemans63 Posted 5 July 2014 Posted 5 July 2014 Seems unlikely that they would sell him based on the fact that it was his goals that pretty much kept them up. Why sell him when he's just starting to prove his worth?
surrifox Posted 5 July 2014 Posted 5 July 2014 Reeeeeeally want this to happen. Think he'd fit in so well I'm not so sure - doesn't seem like the sort of character Nige will get in or get on with - I suspect he has an aversion to public displays of tittishness involving expensive bottles of champers
