mozartfox Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 With Vardy injured, to sell Wood without a replacement coming in would be bordering on negligent. We desperately need 2 new faces coming in with four (4) already on the injury list (and Wood potentially leaving). Yes ALL of the re-signing of last season's squad on long term contracts has been first class, but I do still need some additional quality and depth.
ealingfox Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Jackett's post-match They've made enquiries and are in conversation but the deal is 'a long way off being done'. Said he didn't want to talk about another team's player - good lad. 'We have made an approach, yes, but it's a long way before we could talk about him becoming a Wolves player'.
The Bear Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Jackett has just said we're in discussions but it's nowhere near done yet. Reading between the lines I'd say we've probably agreed a fee in principle but have yet to speak to the player.
RowlattsFox Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Will probably depend on us signing another striker. Best for woods career he leaves.
mugshot Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Seems Sky is saying a fee is agreed http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11712/9415742/transfer-news-wolves-agree-fee-for-leicester-city-striker-chris-wood
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Rob Tanner just tweeted that Sky have jumped the gun and no deal agreed despite genuine interest.
Mr LIvingstone Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Has jacket got a daughter? Lock her up!!!!!!
ealingfox Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 I doubt Rob Tanner's ITK. Yeah but I think Kenny Jackett might be.
VLC86 Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Has jacket got a daughter? Lock her up!!!!!! I hope so with this Bertha hitting, it's wet out there. Sorry I'm a bit dyslexic.
Brooksy Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Yeah but I think Kenny Jackett might be. He didn't say a fee hadn't been agreed though.
qwerty123 Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 This deal will depend on whether we land a target as replacement - not Deeney
Unabomber Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 This deal will depend on whether we land a target as replacement - not Deeney Yeah I heard this too over the weekend.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 This deal will depend on whether we land a target as replacement - not Deeney Slimani? Delort?
ronnup Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 We are definitely still chasing Slimani. I very much hope so. I really liked the look of him at the Highest level
Soar Fox Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 A loan until January and hopes he bangs in a load of goals in for someone. Then hopefully it will spark a bidding war amongst teams.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 11 August 2014 Posted 11 August 2014 Would Hernandez be a realistic target from Utd?
FoxLAD Posted 11 August 2014 Posted 11 August 2014 Hernandez Would be Amazing! .. but I think they rely on him being the "Super Sub"
ronnup Posted 11 August 2014 Posted 11 August 2014 Would Hernandez be a realistic target from Utd? Absolutely not. For Juve maybe.
surrifox Posted 11 August 2014 Posted 11 August 2014 Stupid stupid decision very disappointed buy ulloa for 8 mill raising to 10 mill then sell someone who is just as good just a little younger for 2 mill, one thing about Leicester we are shit at doing business to benefit our club we need to be like levy from spurs !!! That's certainly how it feels with championship strikers going for over £10 mill and given Wood's potential . I read the fee we agreed with W Brom was around £2 mill so we are just covering the purchase price or losing money depending on which guess you believe in the papers. Levy is certainly shrewd at getting top dollar for his players but I suspect he is also the reason they will always be also-rans - they are too money fixated and have bought some terrible players for loads of the Bale fee for instance
The Year Of The Fox Posted 11 August 2014 Posted 11 August 2014 Hernandez Would be Amazing! .. but I think they rely on him being the "Super Sub" I'd read United were releasing him
