Watford bid 1.5 million for King

Possibly bullshit, but here's the link. King is worth more than that!

I doubt this will happen, we are short of CM's as it is. Can't see us loosing Kingy. He loves the club and deserves a Premiership appearance under his belt! Maybe he will smash it to pieces!

I think king would have a good laugh at that, he's been with the club far too long to be dealing with rumours of him going down a league when he has just got to the top tier.

Plus, he doesnt speak Italian.

I'd be very shocked in Kingy even considered this. He's played with us for years and is loved by the fans. The management have always rated him too.

Speaking of Watford and the Daily Mail...

The proposed sale of Fabio Borini to Sunderland from Liverpool for £14m is not far behind.

These are the deals that will be quoted when Leicester City open negotiations for Troy Deeney at Watford, not the £75m paid by Barcelona for Luis Suarez.

If we get a bid of £2.5million we'd have to consider it but we're not in a position where we need to sell so I'd much rather we kept hold of him and he had at least a chance in the Premier League. Besides, I don't think I could take King and Dyer leaving in the same transfer window.

The question is, do we take an offer, and replace him with an improved midfielder?

Whilst I like King, and his face has given me many a minute of joy, should we be looking to improve our midfield, then he unfortunately would be the one to make way to do so.

Thing is we only have 4 cm on the books and though Hammond will do a job he isn't really someone we want starting a lot of games so if anything happens to Danny or Matty then King will be starting games, and if we go with a 3 he might as well. We need to supplement our cm options, not switch them.

Never gonna happen.

King hasn’t chugged around our midfield for the last 10 years just to leave the moment we get in the Prem.

He’s still only 25. He could end up being one of our star men next year.

First we buy an improved midfielder then we consider offers, not the other way round, we can't start the season with DD, James and Hammond being our only centre mids.

Secondly I think Pearson is finding out how hard it is to improve on what we have, to attract the sort of player we want we need to be desirable to play for and we would probably need to break our wage structure.

Do the Mail know something we don't, or have they muddled up Deeney and Ulloa?
