jayfox26 Posted 10 August 2014 Posted 10 August 2014 Think Deeney will end up at either QPR or West Ham.... Deeney to QPR and Cambiasso to us and I'll be happy with that. There are other strikers out there for that kind of money but I cant think of many stars like Cambiasso on free transfers!
LCCFox96 Posted 11 August 2014 Posted 11 August 2014 Cambiasso here and Deeney here too would do me. If we only added these two before the end of the window and maybe someone like Nick Powell on a loan I'd be really happy with that.
adamlcfcbevo85 Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Lcfc are putting in a 10 million pound bid in for deeney today, this will be the final bid for the player, I'm not ITK my mate who works at the club has just let me know negotiations were ongoing last night
Fosse93 Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Too many ITK's or 'mates' who are ITK. I don't know what to believe anymore

Our top goal scorer last season could possibly be 4th choice I would be happy with Deeney here... I don't know how many chances he gets at Watford on goal but he seems to score a lot, If he gets more chances here because of the style of football we play then I can't see this one going wrong!

Carlos88LCFC Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 DAILY EXPRESS: Leicester are reportedly ready to break their transfer record to land striker Troy Deeney from Watford
benpicko Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Deeney, Cambiasso, a left back, and a right back and then we're sorted
Carlos88LCFC Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Deeney, Cambiasso, a left back, and a right back and then we're sorted Hear Schlupp has had been epic at LB in pre season so I would give him a shot and bring in a LB as cover with experience. (just incase) Don't think we need a RB in all fairness... De Laet will be starting there, solid athlete that rarely gets injured... and if he does we have cover in Moore & Possibly Pearson Jr.. Looks like we could get a winger in on loan for a bit or maybe buy one as we have been unlucky with injuries with Vardy, Knocky & Albrighton all look set to miss the opening game. Then that would do me just fine!

Maybe we can find a defender who can play on either side ....
MGLCFC Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Deeney, Cambiasso, a left back, and a right back and then we're sorted Guy Demel would be good cover at the back. Like the idea of signing Deeney. At least if the worst happens we know he can score in the Championship.
Robin JD Popley Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Talksport radio today claiming that we are prepared to break our transfer record, again, for Troy Deeney and we are set to put in a new bid. Two things - 1) For all the doubters still out there, must mean Cambiasso is on board (doubt we'd let that one off the leash without a reason). 2) Nigel's persistence on this is very similar to Ulloa so must be a key target.
Marmite Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 I personally think we will put in a bid for him today, we are getting closer to Saturday and we need another striker if Wood leaves
weller54 Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Think we'll offer £10mil +cambiasso... And it'll be rejected as they'll want Drinky and Vardy as well!!!...
Stevosevic Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Get him in. Nugent, Vardy, Ulloa and Deeney will do me.
Kitchandro Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Deeney & Ulloa for about £18 million would be insane. I can't really work out why we're so desperate to get them. I'd be more excited about Slimani.

I'd be more excited about Slimani. Agreed, especially when we are screaming out for cover and better quality at the back. Set pieces were our downfall last season and unfortunately most teams outside the top 6 make their living from scoring goals that way

blueblood88 Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Bid gone in, £10 million as expected. Final offer.
Stevosevic Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 No idea who we would play to be honest. If we go with 3 in the middle, only one striker is likely to play with two wide men. If we go with two strikers, do we go with the big men? The pace of Nugent and Vardy? Or a little and large combo? All great options to have.
Finnegan Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Would also rather Slimani for the money being quoted for both. Deeney is literally about double. Exactly everything I've been saying all year about why we shouldn't sign from British clubs. The internal market here is just stupid. It's not that I refuse to accept Deeney could do a job for us but for ten plus million? No way. It might not be "my" money but anyone who comes out with the usual "forget the money it's the owner's" hasn't been paying attention to football for the last few years.
lgfualol Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 18m for two strikers would be great if we stayed up Else it is deeply saddening
