Harry - LCFC Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 @John__Percy #lcfc striker Jamie Vardy has agreed a new 4-year contract. Will be among the club's high earners just 2 years after playing in non-league Pearson's loving these four year contracts this season!
Fox 4 Life Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Great player, get him and Ulloa starting against Chelsea! Would love to see him run Terry ragged
kingcarr21 Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 wonder what high earner means? Ask Towlie Ahhh why is the picture moved to the right
Tom's Pasta Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 He's earned it after last season. Now get fit and repay the manager's faith Jamie!
surrifox Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 makes decent sense - if he has a good season in the premiership he will become a valuable (& saleable) asset to the club which I'm sure is a plank of the financial strategy - McCormack for £11 million , Long for £12 or Vardy - I know who I would break the bank for
thybluefox Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Really hope he can keep up his game in the Premier League - he needs to stay positive on the shoulder of the last defender, especially with Ulloa around, rather than dropping back and becoming negative.
Fox92 Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Good news. I do always think four years is a lot, I know players don't always see that out, mind. He's done well since his move from Fleetwood.
bluesbrothers Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 wonder what high earner means? He gets an extra pack of biscuits with his tea on the team bus.
Haydos Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 makes decent sense - if he has a good season in the premiership he will become a valuable (& saleable) asset to the club which I'm sure is a plank of the financial strategy - McCormack for £11 million , Long for £12 or Vardy - I know who I would break the bank for Goals win prizes, he's gonna have to do a job for us first.
Ric Flair Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Let's hope he stays fit now then, he's had a few niggling injuries which tends to happen with rapid players but we could well do with him for as much of the season as possible as we are a different beast with him in the team.
Tommy G Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 isnt Nuge only a year older than him? And he got 2 years? he'll be pissed off
Ric Flair Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 isnt Nuge only a year older than him? And he got 2 years? he'll be pissed off Vardy is 27, Nugent is 29.
dmayne7 Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 isnt Nuge only a year older than him? And he got 2 years? he'll be pissed off With Vardy though, it becomes a moot point. He may be 27 but because he's only been playing league football for a couple of years, he's going to keep getting better and better. Its more like he's a 24 year old really. He won't have had the 10+ years of demanding football when he's Nugent's age, so you'd like to think that if he avoids injuries, he'll be able to keep going well into his 30's.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Honestly, I think this is the best signing news of our summer. Can't wait till he's back playing.
Bamba's Babes Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 wonder what high earner means? I doubt Percy knows the details of the deal apart from the length. He is saying high earners to highlight his next point that Vardy was playing non-league football a couple of years ago.
