Kitchandro Posted 17 October 2014 Posted 17 October 2014 Bloody hell, a player says he likes it here and we call him a mercenary cvnt... Genuinely wtf? No one has called him a mercenary or a cvnt. But his comments don't mean he's going to be here for a long while.
kingfox Posted 17 October 2014 Posted 17 October 2014 He is gonna have an average season & all this will turn to again
Sunbury Fox Posted 17 October 2014 Posted 17 October 2014 Class player. Why would he leave? He plays in front of 30k plus fans at home games and we love him. Much as I love Pearson it is depressing that some think we will be relegated without him. The club has moved on so much since the yo yo days. We have wealthy owners, a nice stadium and a good young team. Tempting DD elsewhere would take a lot.
AKCJ Posted 17 October 2014 Posted 17 October 2014 He is gonna have an average season & all this will turn to again Based on? Anyone that says he wants to be a Leicester player gets a from me.
Tom17LCFC Posted 17 October 2014 Posted 17 October 2014 He's said that twice now. I dunno, not knocking him but he strikes me as the sort of player who would move on if a bigger club wanted him which seems quite possible. I don't understand your logic behind this post? the lad's come out and said he could see himself here for the rest of his career. unless you know him personally I don't understand how you can reach the conclusion of your second sentence. love him myself.
Harry - LCFC Posted 17 October 2014 Posted 17 October 2014 There is nothing in this post I understand... It's really not difficult. He's said he might stay here for the rest of his career - that was the first bit. He seems like the sort of player who would be happy enough to move to a bigger club if the chance came - that's the second bit. I know things get lost in translation at times on the internet but I thought it was pretty clear what I was saying tbh. I don't understand your logic behind this post? the lad's come out and said he could see himself here for the rest of his career. unless you know him personally I don't understand how you can reach the conclusion of your second sentence. love him myself. I think it's quite possible to make a reasonable judgement of character without knowing someone. So, for example, it's very easy to tell that Bosingwa was significantly less committed at QPR than Vardy is at Leicester. With the bits a pieces of information you get given I think you can make a decent guess of what someone's like.
Oxfordfox83 Posted 17 October 2014 Posted 17 October 2014 Ok, the bit I don't understand is that you take the phrase "he's said he wants to stay here twice now" and followed it with "therefore I think if a bigger club comes in he'll go." Unless I missed something...?
kingfox Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 Based on? Anyone that says he wants to be a Leicester player gets a from me. They all say that until they get snapped up by better, or have a few average season's & pack their bags to Bolton.
MC Prussian Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 Hate to say it lads but i dont imagine Pearson will still be here in ten years time. Its incredibly rare that a manager does stay more than ten years. We are going to have the ferguson effect if and When Pearson moves on ... Happaned with O'Neill and will happen with Pearson. Mass exodus to whichever team he goes to . We're only in our first season back in the top flight. I think it's a bit early to paint horror scenarios already. Whatever will be, will be. Just enjoy the ride while you're in the car.
Jakemoore Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 I feel really depressed having read this thread.
reynard Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 Let's see where we are at then end of the season first. If we stay up he will be an integral part of that and quite probably in demand by bigger clubs. Hodgson has also pretty much stated that playing at the highest level (ie Champions League) is an integral reason to pick a player for England. The chance of that happening at Leicester is virtually nil. if we are relegated then he will be sold anyway.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 He's said that twice now. I dunno, not knocking him but he strikes me as the sort of player who would move on if a bigger club wanted him which seems quite possible. Well yeah, I mean that's nigh on exactly what he said.
Guest Col city fan Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 I think I'd watched Danny twice, then posted on here 'I think he's gonna be the future of the City midfield'. Then he went off the boil, big time, along with the others and I agreed with Kingfox that he wasn't all that. I'll never do that again! Good player is Drinkwater. I hope we keep him.

ealingfox Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 As if he wouldn't instantly submit a transfer request if a big club came in for him. Cheap and empty words.

If he'd sung three verses of WYS and punched a Forest fan would you have believed him? It's not like it's Beckford saying it. Can't understand this attitude at all...

Oxfordfox83 Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 He signed a new deal this summer, did he need to say anything? "So Danny, you've become one of Leicester's most important players in your time here. What does the future hold?" "Well, this summer I signed a meaningless piece of paper that in essence only changes the size of any prospective transfer fee, so I feel I've said enough." I just can't get my head around your thinking. And this kind of attitude, written here, can only distance the players further from the fans and the club. What a miserable bastàrd.

Of course he'll have to actually play well for a bit for any of that to become relevant.

The Horse's Mouth Posted 18 October 2014 Posted 18 October 2014 Really selfish from him imo, it's not about matching the club's ambition it's about matching his ambition. What an egomaniac
