  1. 1. Should Nigel Pearson leave LCFC?

As suspected all the people that want him gone are non descript posters with worthless opinions nobody bothers to read.

I bet Bentleys Roof's down again.

Hold on, I voted for him to stay but why are these people's opinions so irrelevant to you?

Plenty of clubs have fired their manager in our position, and in the position we were in a few weeks ago, and profited from it. I have no idea why you feel the need to belittle the opinion of those who wish to remind us of this.

Pearson should stay for a whole host of reasons. But this kind of thing seems just a little rabid to me, the sort of thing which makes me wonder how I could have come to agree with you in the first place.

2 Promotions....

2 Play-off seasons.....

Currently 1 place below season predictions = Sack the manager!

Why do we treat O'Neill as a god? Yet slate this poor guy who has took us from a far lower low than the irishman??

Promotion from League 1 to the premier league is a greater/more rewarding achievement for our club than all that O'neill did.

Another case of the 'Keep Pearson' argument doing its best to collapse in on itself.

The reason why Pearson isn't as lauded as Dyche, as unfair as that may be, is that he has achieved exactly what has been expected of him in his two spells at Leicester, and not a great deal more. He was expected to take the club out of League One and he was expected to achieve promotion in his second spell, possibly earlier than 2014. He had the benefit of a squad almost any other League One side would have killed for in 2008, and resources beyond most of our competitors in 2012. He was also given a great deal more time to succeed than most of his contemporaries or, say, O'Neill, whose head was being called for by many board members after just 12 games in charge.

Pearson's achievements are still very impressive - and he deserves more time. To deliver what is expected of you is no small achievement. Just ask Sven.

But what O'Neill achieved was greater because he went way, way beyond what anybody expected of him. The promotion was expected, survival the next season was hoped for. But he finished in the top half of the table for four years running and won more silverware than in the club's entire previous history. And on a relatively shoestring budget. His side were top of the Premier League thirteen years and two months ago, just after he'd left. The only minor success we enjoyed over the following half decade was a promotion forged by the dying remnants of his squad.

So let's not go making silly comparisons.

Remember what happened last time we had a big Pearson out thread/poll?

Erm that's right, we stuck with him and the next season won the league and got promoted to the premier league for the first time in 10 years.

Don't be so quick to pull the trigger. Will people NEVER learn that sometimes you can't solve everything by just sacking the manager.

That's right. But remember that sometimes you can solve things by sacking the manager. Few would disagree that it was right to oust Sven in favour of Pearson. I thought and still think it was the right move, though it's not unthinkable that Sven would have won promotion had he been given a further two and a half years. And few would disagree with the sacking of Sousa, which saw us move off the bottom of the table and enjoy a brief promotion challenge in the second half of the season. Same could be said about sacking of Holloway, which pre-empted our return to the second tier under Pearson, or Levein, which saw Kelly move us out of the drop zone almost instantly, and to a mid-table finish. What about Taylor? Surely most fans would take the view that it would have been better for the club if he (and Hamilton, and Pleat, and even Adams) had been moved out just a little earlier.

So if all of these sackings were right and justifiable, which sackings in the history of Leicester City do we need to 'learn' from? Rob Kelly? Martin Allen? I'd say we've got it right over my time as a fan, where sackings are concerned. Perhaps, at times, we should have pulled the trigger sooner.

On this occasion, I don't think we should. And you're right to remind us that it was wise to keep Pearson last time around. But things need to improve and soon. If not, then it wouldn't be a bad thing to remember how well some of those previous sackings worked out for us.

If he has a plan to solve the problem, then stay.

At the moment as James said, they dont know whats wrong, if thats the case then he should go and we should get someone who can find and fix the problems.

all I know is something needs to change if that is pearson I do not know but if he does go it needs to be sooner rather then later otherwise the new manager will not have time to look at the current squad and make his on changes and signings in time for the January transfer window

Sacking the manager every three months ruined this club. Stopping this practice helped us get back up. Sacking a manager in mid-season has never done us a bit of good. Let him finish the season and then decide his fate.

One thing that people might be overlooking, it may not have been Pearsons recruitment that was the problem in the summer. More the fact that the money we had available was not enough to sign someone who would improve us. As soon as you get to the premiership you can be sure that the wages and fee's automatically rocket. I dont think you can purely blame his recruiting strategy.

Either way, I genuinely believe we will stay up if we stick with him. We need one of those games where we are complete horse slllong but win from a dodgy penalty or something, the small kick start that we need.

I personally think Was and Moore compliment each other brilliantly, Wes and Was are too slow collectively, 3 points on Sunday fo sho
