Always liked him on and off the field though - heard good things about him from a mate who had a trial. I thought Stearman was shite and Mattock when he was here. People liked him because he was local but I never thought he deserved the spot above Berner. Gelson Fernandes was extremely overrated and had one decent game against Cov and people bummed him.

CovFox Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 Another vote for Arnur Gunnlaugsson, maybe I was swayed by that left foot curler he stroked in against Derby but to me he looked like he had a bit of class but never got a run in the team - we had Heskey and Cottee steering us towards top ten Prem finishes so he never quite looked like he fit in with our team/style of play at that time.

I never really liked Lloyd Dyer either, extremely limited footballer. I thought Gelson Fernandes was class, shame he never got much of a chance to show it. I also never understood the dislike of Jermaine Beckford. Mainly because he literally couldn't be arsed to play for us. And he was awful.

Steve Guppy was ok for what he was, but I think he is remembered more fondly than his sporadic crossing ability showed. On the flip side, I thought Arnar Gunnlaugsson wasn't too bad and didn't deserve the slating he got. Wow mate, jesus, talk about getting personal.

Could pick a pass, in a better team I think he'd of been decent. Always thought Matty Fryatt was awful as a footballer, flat footed, fat and slept with a girl I liked. The cvnt.
