Fox92 Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Wellens was a 'pointer'. You know the sort. And he had a really wanky 'lad' kind of aura. He just wound me up. I don't think he's an abysmal footballer or anything, just another in a long list of slightly average players picking up a huge wage for doing very little. Yakubu scored one of the best goals in our history against Derby, Beckford got a hat-trick against Forest. Even if they didn't try they at least contributed some excitement to what was a frustrating few years. Try as he might Waghorn was just another Wellens - not terrible just average and dull. Manchester United effect. He knew how to win fouls, and argued a lot with the referee too. That said, a solid player for us and the stick he got was underserved. He was easily our best midfielder for his first two seasons here.

I don't like Konch because I don't think he's good enough and I can't stand wasyl because I think he's a dirty cheat. In the past, Steve Howard was a great guy to have in our team. I absolutely loved Bruno Berner. He put in 100% each week and was actually a pretty decent left back. I couldn't stand Jermain Beckford. He was such a moody bastard.
