cullenfox Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 Just so we know... could you give us a full list of his favourites. The way I see it: Schwarzer, Morgan, Konchesky, Nugent. Not a big list but the ones he certainly seems to be putting plenty of faith in at the moment.
ealingfox Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 He's not going anywhere on loan and is in talks with us about his future according to Rob Tanner.

Not a big list but the ones he certainly seems to be putting plenty of faith in at the moment. Thank goodness he does (in a few of them anyway) Barring WHU away, Konchesky has been reliable... If we had a RB as steady as Konch we wouldn't have half the problems we have had Nugent adds a hell of a lot to the team, I wish his finishing was more composed, but he's been a great asset to the matchday squads this season. There is a higher tempo & therefore more dangerous element about our play when he's in the team than when he's not Morgan - Pretty debatable really... A few of the early season errors, should never have been errors if we had a keeper at the time who could come off his line to collect or even punch clear & more recent ones are tinged by the fact he's become a punch bag. I think he could do better with a couple of incidences and a couple of them superman wouldn't have been able to prevent... But FoxesTalk punchbag is FoxesTalk punchbag I suppose Schwarzer... We really needed more experience at the back, but personally I'm baffled at how he's in the team given what a liability it is He's not going anywhere on loan and is in talks with us about his future according to Rob Tanner. Don't say that... We need to use this as a stick to beat Pearson up with
Fox 4 Life Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 Rejected the loan move to Ipswich. In all likelihood we are down so we should offer him a new contract as he was superb in the champ
Babylon Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 Rejected the loan move to Ipswich. In all likelihood we are down so we should offer him a new contract as he was superb in the champ Probably not had the offers he thought he would and wouldn't mind staying if he gets game time in that league... which he would.
Babylon Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 The way I see it: Schwarzer, Morgan, Konchesky, Nugent. Not a big list but the ones he certainly seems to be putting plenty of faith in at the moment. What about James, Cambiasso, Kramaric, Mahrez, Schlupp, Huth... they are starting every game at the minute as well. Or is that ok because they are everyone else's favourites?

Ric Flair Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 If he isn't back on the bench within the next few games then I hope he leaves for his own sake. How he's not one of the best 18 players in this squad in Pearson's eyes is beyond me. This isn't an attitude problem here either, he's clearly showed he's desperate to be part of this team in his performances when Schlupp and Mahrez weren't available and the fact he doesn't want to leave on loan just yet. I fail to see how this passion and desire can't be of use to use in the run-in. We're painfully devoid of ideas in some matches and him as an option will be much more use to us than say Andy King. My gripe with Nigel is long but the main part is his cluelessness about how to change matches. He often throws numerous strikers on and thinks that's enough to become more attacking because they're strikers and play upfront, but more often than not that's completely nullified by little creativity and support up to these players. Knockaert offers a bridge to that, he's also worked immensly hard on the defensive side so not only can he provide support to our strikers whether it be chasing a game or from the of but he can also help hold on to a result if needs be. He was very good vs Villa in all of these scenario's. I'm just mystified and fcukin cross.
Fox92 Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 Well done to Pearson for making yet another cock up. Next we'll see him selling off players one by one until only his personal favourites are left. That's the way to do it. Will turn us into a train wreck at the rate he's going. Yeah, ok. First off, lets not forget Pearson signed this player. Knockaert started the start of the season and I think we all concluded he wasn't good enough. Whether he gets better, we don't know yet but this season Mahrez and Schlupp have been better options for the way we play and have also had better seasons. "Personal favourites" what a load of rubbish. And as for "he's going to turn us into a train wreck", he's the most stable manager we've had at this club for years. Remember what he's achieved off the field too.
Babylon Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 Kasper's back soon, so a favourite will be left out. Him or Schwarzer? Which favourite will be unfavoured? He'll have to drop Kramaric to play Schwarzer up front. If Pearson only played his "favourites" or "mates" we'd still have Oakley, Howard, Gallagher, Weale playing for us.

He was very good vs Villa in all of these scenario's. I'm just mystified and fcukin cross. This, this and this again. Granted he might not be first choice and people say he's a favourite etc. But we can all agree that he is a better to bring on than Andy King, who just runs around? At least Knockaert has the skillfullness which we all saw last season in abundance. He definitely has better ball control than Schlupp? Just because his pace isn't there doesn't mean he isn't fit for this league. I'm not just saying this because I am a fan, I was a big fan of Moore and Morgan but admittedly they aren't good enough (i'm sure Moore will be in time), But Knockaert hasn't even been given a chance. If he was given game time and wasn't ready or good enough then fair play, but just let him play for fcuks sake.
Babylon Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 If he was given game time and wasn't ready or good enough then fair play, but just let him play for fcuks sake. The management have to try and make these decisions before... they don't have the luxury of giving everyone a go to see if they will hack it.
ScouseFox Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 The management have to try and make these decisions before... they don't have the luxury of giving everyone a go to see if they will hack it. yeah that'd be all well and good but he was brought in when we lost both our wingers, was arguably motm (and given motm) and played really well, then... nothing? where has he gone in the 7 weeks since his motm performance in our last league win? sure riyad and schlupp have since come back and through those weeks schlupp performed well and riyad is our best winger, but to not even think about including knockaert on the bench? seems mad to me.
AKCJ Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 Funny how the 'He only plays his mates' argument comes in when players are underperforming. You don't see us saying "He's only playing Mahrez, Kramaric and Cambiasso because they're his mates".
Ollie93 Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 The management have to try and make these decisions before... they don't have the luxury of giving everyone a go to see if they will hack it. Yeah I understand this, but after Villa where he played well he hasn't been considered. Lawrence has come off the bench ahead of him, what i am saying is I believe it is another option attacking wise which Pearson hasn't fully exploited. Look at Villa away in the FA cup, 1-0 down, 20 minutes to go, that would be an ideal time to bring him on, he'd of shown a lot more than half the players on the pitch that day. If Andy King gets a run out then i'm sure Knockaert deserves one.

If Andy King gets a run out then i'm sure Knockaert deserves one. Lawrence has played about three times. Knockaert eleven. Villa, well anyone would have been better than nothing. There's no argument there. King similar to Hammond has played more this year than most expected due to the high number of injuries in the centre. If we'd had that amount of injuries on the wings I'm sure Knockaert would have featured more.
ImBlue Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 Funny how the 'He only plays his mates' argument comes in when players are underperforming. You don't see us saying "He's only playing Mahrez, Kramaric and Cambiasso because they're his mates". Funny that would be but Upson was dreadful, and he WILL start the next game.
CosbehFox Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 Will turn us into a train wreck at the rate he's going. You'll have to let me know when we drop into the Conference....
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! Here he is to save the day! It's Captain Hindsight! If only we'd listened to him in August, he knew better all along.
dayday Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 Kasper's back soon, so a favourite will be left out. Him or Schwarzer? Which favourite will be unfavoured? Nigel has a cunning plan, they will both get 45 mins each,a toss of a coin will decide which half they will play.
Ric Flair Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 But we currently have no wingers on the bench if you take the Everton squad. It's peculiar. I know he likes to play Vardy out there but until Sunday he'd been abysmal when pushed out wide. It's bizarre management. He deserves a place in the matchday squad, as does Albrighton.
Matt Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 Kasper's back soon, so a favourite will be left out. Him or Schwarzer? Which favourite will be unfavoured? This will be a genuinly interesting decision, his mate or his favourite, decision's decision's, i'm gonna say his favourite [Kasper] will get the nod. Funny how the 'He only plays his mates' argument comes in when players are underperforming. You don't see us saying "He's only playing Mahrez, Kramaric and Cambiasso because they're his mates". That's because they warrant a place in the squad - they are not making stupid mistakes week in, week out. If anyone can give me an explanation as to why Morgan, Kasper/Schwarzer, Konchesky, Nugent are getting played regularly then I might think differently. Let's put another spin on this, it seems he doesn't rate or 'like' Hamer when he has made mistake that weren't even as bad as Schwarzer or Schmeichel have made, according to Bert he was fuming about 1 mistake, that really wasn't even his mistake, how come he gets dropped so quickly? Answer that, he's not perfect or Premier League quality, far from it, i'm not saying he is but he's the best of the 3. Albrighton, was it something his missus said? Again he's not amazing but played well when given the chance, then gets dropped, where's the incentive, what do you have to do? What kind of example does it set when you get given a chance, play well but get dropped? Why has Knockaert hardly even been given a chance this season? Anyway on the Knockaert subject, i'm delighted he's rejected going to Ipswich and hope he can prove to Pearson he deserves his chance.
CKB Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 In the theme of Rehab... Nige tried to make me go to Ipswich but i said no, no, no!
foxinsocks Posted 25 February 2015 Posted 25 February 2015 I completely agree with you there, Pearson is well out of his depth, as was always going to be the case, before the season kicked off. Massive error by the board, imo. can we loan pearson to ipswitch? seriously - has any non playing member of staff ever been sent on loan?
