Hoping for a Eagles win now.

Officials were desperate for the patriots to win that. Harsh on the Jags and what a shame for the Vikings to probably have their worst game of the season especially after going 7-0 up so early on in the game.

The pass interference on Buoye at the end of the second was a bit harsh I thought. Worse though was that the fumble Jack caused got called back when it looked like he was heading for a pick 6. That really could've changed the game imo.

If the Jags hadn't had that delay of game penalty just before HT allowing the Pats to score, I reckon they'd have had enough to win it. Especially as they'd have likely got a FG minimum from that drive too. Absolutely shocking to get that penalty coming straight from a time  out.

Pretty careless really. They went from potentially going into the half at 17-3, to going in at 14-10.  I still wouldn't have bet against the Pats in that situation though.

Quite a key thing for me was that they took a knee with 50 seconds remaining of the first half with 3 time outs. You're essentially saying that you don't trust yourselves to be able to get you to within field goal range. Bortles was having a solid game - give him a chance at least especially with Lambo's record for field goals this season.

I think a lot of them had they been the other way round really wouldn't have been flagged. The fumble as you was say was massive and like The Bear said, the delay of game which got flagged could've made a huge difference too.

Sat watching the entire thing just waiting for the inevitable moment the Pats took the lead near the end. Never felt like the Jags were going to hold on really. There's just a crushing sense of inevitability about the Pats.

Thought the same thing, was very surprised they didn't take a couple of safish routes, use a couple of TO's and then try and work into FG range, it did smack of a team that didn't have complete confidence in themselves, what a contrast to the way the Eagles drove up for a FG with even less time left a few hours later.

Can only see the Pats winning the Superbowl, it's just what they do, Nick Foles surely can't play that well again.

This.

Like I said, more than a passing resemblance to Fergie's ManYoo of old.

Eagles fans are a throroughly reprehensible bunch. Pretty disgusting behavior, generally.

Don’t mind the team, but their following is a completely different story. This is a definite potential riot scenario.

Two of the three "nicest" fan bases in American professional sports -- Boston and Philly lol  There aren't enough locusts in the world to produce the plague their houses deserve.  So we'll just have to watch the damn thing and see this year's nice little laydown for the Patriots play out to its nauseating conclusion.

The fumble got called back because he was touched down, that isn't a controversial decision.

They can't do anything once the whistle is blown, but there is clearly a lot of debate about whether or not he was down.

Would be nice to see something other than a Patriots win, especially with the lack of credit Foles has been getting. Should be an interesting game though with both number one seeds. Interesting as well in the main season, Patriots only scored one more point than the Eagles, but the Eagles conceded one point less. Pointless stat but let's just hope its a tight game lol

I think the Vikings could beat them in Minneapolis. However I think the possibility of getting to a Superbowl in your home stadium will be too much for the Vikings tonight and they'll choke.

Sadly, you called it.

Theres also something of a sad resemble from Vikings in the Superbowl to our record in FA Cup finals; 4 played 4 defeats.

Its the hope that kills you but anyway, cant see past another Pats win on Sunday (hope I'm wrong).

So did Brady genuinely have a hand injury? Perhaps they could knock a couple of psi off the ball tonight to make it more comfortable for him.

Honestly, the more I read and see the more parallels I get between this Pats side and the ManYoo side of old.

Getting into the head of opposition, almost universally loathed, an interesting relationship with match officials...
