How anybody can not rate Ulloa is beyond me, especially considering he's got 12 goals in a team that has spent most of the season bottom of the league.

Ulloa gets too much shit despite being our top scorer. Scored some great goals and important ones at that. He's not a world beater but he's plugged away and got into double figures with a couple left to play.

I think people on here have unrealistic expectations of how good a newly promoted side is and expected a comfortable 15 goals from each of our strikers if they're to remain at the club.

Other than Ulloa I think Wasilewski has had a lot of very good games and on the whole been fairly solid.

Yeah Wasyl for me.

Huth has made a huge difference to our defence, and Morgan has improved due to the change in formation. But Was has been a huge part of all the clean sheets we've kept recently.

And can anybody actually remember a mistake he made which led to a goal being conceded?

Schmeichel, rated by all except LCFC fans! Though I picked James in the poll as he is the definition of underrated

Totally agree. I was surprised so many were calling for Hamer to be first choice earlier in the season. Huth has (rightly so) taken he plaudits for our improvement in defence, but Kasper's return to the side has been a big factor in our recent performances too.

I think it's easier to pick these than it is a player of the season. Quite a few players have quietly gone about their business and fairly consistently put in good performances, without being brilliant too often.

I've gone for Jamo, but could've easily picked Was, Schlupp, Nuge etc.

King is the unsung hero every season.

Agreed, started the season impressively against tough opposition and in recent weeks has scored two crucial goals.

Might not be a flashy player but he's who you want in important/ big games.

If Schlupp improves at the same rate next season as this, we'll have a truly fabulous player on our hands. There's a case for saying we already have.

Me..I've been singing my bloody heart out!

Wasa for me.. never seen him give anything less than 100 per cent

I'm not voting though..The poll is rubbish

I joingly tipped Schlupp to win player of the season last summer and he's probably in the top 3-4 players this year for sure. The lad is a footballing nightmare for opposition and fellow team mates. One minute he's unplayable and the next he's absolutely horrific. Thankfully his pace and power means the game opens up for him and I can see him continuing to improve and being a solid player at this level. He has his critics but he's been very good for us quite a lot this season and that's what matters.

Has to be morgan for me, he's taking a lot of flack this season but he has the 2nd highest number of blocks in the whole premier league. He was no1 for the most blocks in the prem before xmas. 2 goals as well. Not bad for his first season as a premier league footballer

I love how Morgan is now becoming flavour of the month. He's been decent the last couple of months but prior to that you could stake a claim for him being at fault for a high percentage of our goals compared to any other player. Measure that with him being our captain and supposed lynchpin and he's had a tough season. Glad to see he's battled on and is building a good partnership with Huth but let's not forget what's happened before this. I'd hope to god that he's replaced next season if we want to continue this progression long term.

Personally I'd say James has been average all season, he's by and large got the job done but can any of you actually remember a moment of brilliance from him? He is over-rated by a lot of fans judging by this poll.
