My mate in the video shop says were signing Hitomi Tanaka. Apparently very good up front.

Yeah heard Hitomi was more than a handful and causes many defenders to look wooden.

IS he in the final year of his contract now? If so, could negotiate a lesser fee.

quick someone contact the club and let them know we can negotiate a lesser fee...

This one just screams failure to me. Not keen on paying such high fees for players of that age when they have never played here. They know what they are doing though.

Still think midfield is a priority.

Which I'm sure we're working on. No point in saying "we won't sign anyone until we've got a midfielder in".

It would be better if he was a tad younger, but as you say, Nige and Walsh tend to know what they are doing.

I know nothing about this chap.

Didn't say that but agreed I am sure it is being worked on. Cambiasso proves a distraction once again but hopefully Kante comes in regardless.

As someone else mentioned I suppose this guy covers the asian player request from the owners. We've probably just picked out the best one we can get, that will offer something in a position we need.

Think most of us thought the same when we signed Ulloa too. Okazaki is in his prime and probably will be for around 3 more years? i've never seen him play, but if we get him i'd very much look forward to it.

All that worries me is fitting all these strikers in, i love them all

We've seemed to stop our recruitment process of players in their early 20's. He's not " that " old but there'll be no resale value on him I wouldn't have thought. Huth was fair enough as he's been a beast at this level but I do get nervous when we're blowing best part of 10 large on a soon to be 30 year old.

Have a feeling he could become another fan's favourite with his work rate and some quality finishes!

Get him in. It's not our money anyway  :pearson:

You know you're paying too much when not once has there been another club linked, pretty much the same scenario as Ulloa. £8 million for 28/29 year olds is too much.

Actually you are wrong.

Premier League outfits Arsenal, Liverpool and Leicester have since sent scouts to see the 28-year-old in action, with the latter tabling an £8m move for his services.

It's only too much if they don't work out... Ulloa in the end was worth every penny of what we spent. He contributed most of the goals to us staying in the league.

If it does go ahead, can't help but feel like we've been ripped off.

Nige loves his older players.

It won't of been un-noticed by Mainz that prem teams suddenly have more tv money than the year before..... Get used to rising prices, guys....
