LCFC FOX Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 http://www.90min.com/posts/2264008-every-premiership-teams-most-overrated-player-2014-15?a_aid=35449 Do you agree? If not who would you say needs swapping? I can't disagree with too many to be fair.
shailen Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 This list should be the over hyped players of 2014/15.
Hollism Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Seems to be more a list of those who under performed than those who were overrated. With Danny Ings a reasonable exception. Interesting though.
Devonfox1884 Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 I don't think Krama is overrated, he just needed time to adjust. He'll prove them wrong next year, I have no doubt about that.
Wymsey Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Surprised that Gerrard wasn't classed as 'overrated'; personally not surprised he wasn't actually good last season. Many of the pundits seem to love him.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 How is Shane Long overrated? Exactly don't you have to be rated to be overrated?
Dan Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 I agree with the majority of that list to be honest, my disagreements; Wilshere - Personally think he's quality. Kramaric - Underwhelming so far? Yes. Over-rated? Not really seeing that. Sterling - Not over-rated. People in this country just change their opinion on irrelevant stuff. You search Sterling's name on Twitter and watch everyone laying into him yesterday despite him being one of our best players, that doesn't strike me as as someone very highly rated to me. Long - Not sure he falls under the over-rated category. Dyer - I've always liked Dyer. Reid - Why's he picking at his goals tally? He's a defender. I'd have made theirs Mark Noble as he's England's saviour according to some of their fans.
Stadt Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Yeah the only ones I wholeheartedly agree with are Caulker and Huddlestone, they're players people recognise and and try to look knowledgeable about the bottom half clubs but they've never seen them play more than 5 times Most of those players got slagged off more than praised because they were overhyped before they had a proper chance to prove yourself.
Kitchandro Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Not sure how Kramaric can be overrated given that he's barely played and has never played up front with a strike partner. He's not even rated. Who has lauded him? No one really. Same with Di Maria, everyone has said how shit he's been. Dyer on the other hand has been massively underrated for many years. Huddlestone is a great shout though.
shailen Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 This is my list of players. I left us blank Arsenal - Per Mertesacker Aston Villa - Jack Grealish Burnley - Ashley Barnes Chelsea - Cesar Azpilicueta Everton - Ross Barkley/Jon Stones Hull - Tom Huddlestone Leicester - Liverpool - Adam Lallana Manchester City - Samir Nasri Manchester United - Radamel Falcao Newcastle - Remy Cabella QPR - Steven Caulker Southampton - Jose Fonte Stoke City - Charlie Adam Sunderland - Connor Wickham Swansea - Bafetimbi Gomis Tottenham - Hugo Lloris West Brom - Saido Berahino West Ham - Mark Noble
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 I actually believe ours is Schmeichel. Had a great end to the season and I like him but the amount of times I hear him talked about in relation to Champion's League clubs etc. is crazy. He also had a very questionable start to the season IMO. He's far too vulnerable to things flashing across the face of his six yard box and not being a big enough presence at set pieces. It's a shame because his shot-stopping is first rate and his kicking can be fantastic. Before he deserves to be talked in the kind of terms I often hear him being talked in however he needs to improve on these aspects of his game.
fazzyfox Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Re Long, I presume that's based on his ratio of transfer fee and games played, the "rated" coming from Southamptons valuation of him. Although his loss impacted on them eventually Hull were surprised at the offer which gave them a few million pounds profit after just six months at the club and probably drove him straight down there that day.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 A few ofcourse are ridiculous but the Ross Barkley call is absolutely spot on. If he wasn't English we would all be calling him a bang average footballer, similar story to Wilshere, although he has improved in the last 12 months when fit just a shame he is made of biscuits. Disagree with Dzeko for Man City though, Kompany and Toure must be ahead of him in the pecking order.
Zapp Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Arsenal - Ox Burnley - Boyd Chelsea - Cahill Hull - Dawson Man City - Fernandinho Saints - Tadic Swansea - Shelvey Spurs - Walker West Brom - Berahino West Ham - Noble Just my humble opinion

I don't think he's not good enough but he's got too many flaws to be linked to some of the clubs he's been linked to in my opinion although credit to him - I'd understand it a lot more if he was always as good as the final two months.
Danizen Posted 16 June 2015 Posted 16 June 2015 I can kind of see why they picked Kramaric. None of our players were rated at the beginning of the season. Everyone thought we were shit. In January, we were in big trouble and the way the Kramaric transfer was received by us and the media was that he was a quality striker who would score the goals to get us out of trouble. Even Pearson said he needed to hit the ground running. That didn't happen he only scored three goals (definitely not his fault being played on his own up front and our other strikers playing their way into undroppable form) and the three goals hr scored weren't exactly match winners. Before you bite my head off, I wouldn't say he is overrated. Just that they had to pick someone for this feature and I can see why they picked him.
One Half Wonder Posted 16 June 2015 Posted 16 June 2015 I think they're all very harsh - i'd only agree with Di Maria out of the whole lot - you could've added a few for Man Utd, Falcao in particular. I don't think Kramaric is overrated, it's his first stint in the premier league, it takes time to adjust and he wasn't given a decent run. He will be class next season. It's like saying Jay Rodriguez at Southampton was overrated because he didn't score... he also didn't play a single game.

Fantastic player and a massive character. Vital for us. Also can't believe Wilshere is on that list. He's quality.
