MPH Posted 13 July 2015 Share Posted 13 July 2015 ranieri is a long experience of loose ! what a horrible new ! welcomeback championship he got no control on the players, his biggest problem. pearson where are u ? ffs crap Underwhelmed This Very very underwhelming Still time to get behind the team and cheer them on again soon I could think of a lot worse but I am still very underwhelmed. For goodness sake.... only ten managers in the history of the premier league have a better win ratio...

The Guvnor Posted 13 July 2015 Share Posted 13 July 2015 Well he said he wanted the job and we were after a high profile manager so can't say I'm shocked, welcome Claudio.
Simmsy Posted 13 July 2015 Share Posted 13 July 2015 Pleased with this. Even more pleased that it's finally over and the focus can be on actual football again.
4everfox Posted 13 July 2015 Share Posted 13 July 2015 I'm happy yet cautious about this appointment. History suggests he will start the season well and end the season badly which will probably lead to him being sacked and getting another 7 figure pay off which is what I fear he is after. On the other hand he has shown he has the ability to build a strong squad such as the original foundations for Mourinho at Chelsea in 2004 and he is clearly a talented manager else he wouldn't have managed all of those top class clubs. Its a good short term appointment but I will eat my own head if he see's out the entirety of his contract.
cityfanlee23 Posted 13 July 2015 Share Posted 13 July 2015 His ethos fits the club, ambitious, he has a reputation for rebuilding clubs with younger players and improving them. Juventus, Inter, Chelsea and Monaco are examples of his rebuilding
nnfox Posted 13 July 2015 Share Posted 13 July 2015 Welcome Claudio! Genuinely believe that this will be either brilliant or a complete disaster. I don't see that there will be much middle ground. Can't wait for the season to start now.
ktfox59 Posted 13 July 2015 Share Posted 13 July 2015 I just dont get the negativity by some to this appointment. Here is a manager who has coached and managed big name players in teams all around europe. Got a v decent win ratio to boot. We could only dream of a manager of this calabre until recently. Oldinnblue Posted 13 July 2015 Share Posted 13 July 2015 Why do we want Shakey to stay, does he have any sway with the players? I would like Walsh to stay, they must know each other from their Chelsea days and Cambiasso as player coach......

MikeyT Posted 13 July 2015 Share Posted 13 July 2015 Just gotta back him. He's the new manager now. Whether he's what people wanted or not, it's a done deal. Get behind him and the lads.
CosbehFox Posted 13 July 2015 Share Posted 13 July 2015 Competent. Bit of a risk but it could have been a lot worse. Hope he's still ambitious rather than wanting a final payday. Now let's get the show on the road and get two/three more players in. If you look at his time at Chelsea, he had to bring the players on and promote youth.
