AjcW Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Chelsea played some good football with him before he was sacked but he's not won a game with Greece in about 5 years haha 5 months....
breadandcheesebrother Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 On the plus side that's no way ranieri in the photo. Looks as though Top has signed up Bobby Davro.
Beliall Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 brilliant. although im a little cut up it was'nt klopp or biesla. a man can dream. welcome ranieri, i think its the best, realistic appointment we could have made. #prayforpreki
lgfualol Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Interesting signing. I hope he does better with this job than with Greece. I'm backing him to get us comfortably mid-table. I'm just glad this saga is over.
Molson Canadian Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 FINALLY A SUIT AND TIE WEARING MANAGER ON THE TOUCHLINE. Will bring a touch of class and professionalism to the squad, the lads should start wearing suit and ties upon arrival on match days as well. GOOD LUCK MR.Ranieri
MPH Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 pleased but at the same time... its finally sinking in that Nigel isnt coming back.......
ARM1968 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I'm gutted. So wanted Dyche. Ahh well. Up the azzuri!!
Webbo Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Claudio Ranieri said: “I'm so glad to be here in a Club with such a great tradition as Leicester City. No need to take the piss Claudio.
AyewJoking Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 bye bye shakey, walsh, cambiasso, shrewd spending, sports science. I bet you a tenner he isnt our manager 2 years from now. hope its a good ride though
ARM1968 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 We have got a great tradition - of achieving almost bugger all.
weller54 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Gutted, smacks of a total cock up by the Owners, another Sven like appointment and will end the same way. Yer.. What was wrong with Preki FFS!!!?
FrankieADZ Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 honestly I'm dreading the season now(I hope he proves me wrong), just for how he's managed recently, especially with Greece. and you cant say much about Monaco, pretty sure he had blank cheques there.
Happy Fox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 OptaJoe @OptaJoe 14m14 minutes ago 52% - Only 10 managers in PL history have a higher win percentage than Claudio Ranieri. Tinkerman. Who are the other 10?
purpleronnie Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Just look at his winning ratio and ask any other club fans that have had him as manager- apart from Chelsea he did OK there but again has loads to spend. Sven mk2. I hope I'm wrong though but an elderly foreign coach at a bottom half club rarely works out But how is he overrated? It's not like the football world think he's the dog's bollocks withouht any justification for it, he's a decent mananger who's done pretty well. I don't see anyone overrating him.
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 bye bye shakey, walsh, cambiasso, shrewd spending, sports science. I bet you a tenner he isnt our manager 2 years from now. hope its a good ride though That's it. He's signed less than an hour ago and there's complete negativity already! Up the City!
Mark_w Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Having met the Leicester City squad on Monday afternoon. All that plane spotting was worth it then.
johnny the fox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 FINALLY A SUIT AND TIE WEARING MANAGER ON THE TOUCHLINE. Will bring a touch of class and professionalism to the squad, the lads should start wearing suit and ties upon arrival on match days as well. GOOD LUCK MR.Ranieri fook me ..this is not man at C&A .. its about staying up...
Bramhall Fox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Come on and let's all just get behind him and be positive, whether he's your first choice or not. At least we have a Manager now - we were never going to be able to please everyone, but we are Leicester City and the new Manager, team and full support staff need our backing from the beginning. Up the City.
MPH Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 No need to take the piss Claudio. Think he means the post horn gallop
sdb Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Relatively happy - there are correlations with Sven which worries me but hopefully Walsh and the owners will nudge him in a different direction, transwer-wise. Really important he now does the following: - keeps the backroom staff (does he tend to have his own coaching team?) - re-signs Cambiasso (how successful were they together at Inter?) - signs at least 1 top class midfielder (in their prime!) GOOD LUCK CLAUDIO!!!
monsgon Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 He's got the connections and pulling power to Sign top players, did at Chelsea too. Just hope we don't sign players who are towards the end of their careers. He can take Leicester too the next level. Welcome.
Steven Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Top is going to watch his chequebook burn in front of his very eyes all over again. Pleased with the appointment but concerned about losing the cohesion that Nigel built. Like the cohesion NP built with the Board?
Leicesterpool Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Finally our search is over and what a fantastic appointment. the owners have made the right move by appointing a big name, experienced, successful manager. Welcome Claudio to Leicester
