EastAnglianFox Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 I'm going to miss his penalties If I'm struggling to finish with the Mrs tonight I'm gonna close my eyes and picture this!!
SecretPro Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 If I'm struggling to finish with the Mrs tonight I'm gonna close my eyes and picture this!! Too much info. I love Nuge. Long live the Nuge! Good luck, and thank you!
Sunbury Fox Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Also feel a bit sad about this. Really hope it works out for him and can't blame him for leaving as his chances here will be v limited this season. I know he could be infuriating, missing chances from 2 yards before volleying one in from 25, but was always a fan myself. Worked hard with a fair bit of skill. Also think he was good for morale.
EastAnglianFox Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Too much info. I I love Nuge. Long live the Nuge! Good luck, and thank you! It wasn't all that serious mate!...my Mrs makes me sleep in the spare room.
FoxinNotts Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Quality player. Would rather have him in our squad than not.
Drift Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 BORO IN FOR NUGENT So, Sky sources have revealed Middlesbrough have had an offer accepted for Leicester striker David Nugent. We understand the fee is around £4m for the 30-year-old. More on that as it develops. 18:25 BREAKING NEWS Middlesbrough have agreed a fee with Leicester for striker David Nugent, according to Sky sources.
weller54 Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 End of an era!.. Liked Nugent... Good luck to him!
dimmerchant Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 I'd assume with the relative speed of this going through it was a case he was told they were interested and we were going to agree a deal, rather than bluntly being told he's surplus to requirements.
Fox 4 Life Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 If I'm struggling to finish with the Mrs tonight I'm gonna close my eyes and picture this!! "struggling to finish"
Corky Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Plays with a smile on his face, gives 100%, seems like a genuinely nice bloke. Maybe I am out of touch with what you pay for a striker at that level but I would have thought 2 million. High proportion of his goals were pens. Cant see him being one of the championships top scorers. PS. Anyone know why the Balotelli thread has been locked? Out of his 59 goals for us, 11 were penalties.
ToeKneeHandCock Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Genuinely sad about this. In an era of players like Mills and Beckford he was a shining light for me. While high earners like that were being shipped out by Pearson, it's easy too see why Nugent was kept on. For me, he epitomises everything that has brought about our recent success. He's a grafter with considerable skill to boot and a proper team player. He seems a really nice bloke too. I know he's had his critics at times but in my opinion he's been fantastic for us and I genuinely wish him every success at Boro.
harpendenfox Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Definitely a key man in our resurgence these last few years but I don't think Nuge himself truly believes he can cut it in the Prem. Perhaps he doesn't have that inner drive or arrogance to get to the very top. That said he will leave having done much for LCFC and it will be strange to see that grinning face playing for another team.

Vacamion Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 If this is true, and leaves and then one day he comes back with another team, I hope he gets a warm friendly welcome. He ran his heart out for us and played an important part in our ascent. Good luck to him.
Sly Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 I still love the fact that when we played Derby whilst we were in the Championship, he couldn't get to the ground because of snow or traffic, so he parked up and ran in order to make it in time.
Thracian Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 I just hope whoever replaces him has the same attitudes and heart for the job. I'm sad to see him go.
Foxfromburbage Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Good Luck and Thanks to Nuge if he does go
Max Power Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 I just hope whoever replaces him has the same attitudes and heart for the job. I'm sad to see him go.Okazaki?Early signs are good
Freesolo Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 £4m for a 30 year old, he was class in the championship but apart from a few screamers last season and his workrate. I would snap that cash up
robbie Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Bye Nugent. True hero and a essential player in our promotion campaign. Wish you all the best in your new career.
