leicesterlad1989 Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Police must intervene and arrest him for attempted murder in that case.
filbertway Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Yes he behaved like a dick and I was surprised that for kicking the ball and raising his hand to Mings' face he wasn't sent off but that doesn't change the fact that that headline is so hyperbolic it's untrue. Completely nonsensical and inappropriate reference to Hughes death too.  "could have killed him".  Oh yeah I totally agree with that, it's ridiculous. Though I doubt having a ball smashed at your head when you're lay down can be good for you, to say it'd kill the man is crazy. It must have happened to tonnes of players and especially goalkeepers during goal mouth scrambles.  Pretty sure Shearer smashing a boot into Lennon's face was much more dangerous than kicking a ball at someone.
StokeFan Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 This article has made it onto the Oatcake as well and we've been pissing ourselves at it. A load of utter horse shit.
Frank to be Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Didn't seem like he was trying to kick the ball at him, just clearing it. If kicking the ball is no longer allowed, we haven't got much of a sport left.
Witch Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 If Wilson is so fragile he can be killed with a football, we should be happy there was no Wasyl on the pitch. He would kill the dude just with his glare.
jayfox26 Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Possibly the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. Can't believe he said you would get arrested for kicking a ball at someone in the street. Me and my mates did this all the time when we were kids! What a complete loser! Huth should go to his house, tie him up and continually kick a football in his face!
Gerard Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 The most pathetic piece of journalism I've ever seen.  Has anyone in the history of the sport ever been killed by a football, let alone a big strong young fit guy like Callum Wilson?  Articles like these are why I rarely read newspapers any more.  I've played football myself and had the full force of a well struck ball hit me in the face and never even took a second to recover. I am a big tough bastard though.Â
Strokes Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 So putting a wall up for a free kick could kill someone every game then. Well referees play their part in that mark.
Foxhateram Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Chill out Mark!! http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/robert-huth-could-killed-callum-6370541 Former Premier League referee Mark Halsey has hit out at Leicester defender Robert Huth- saying he could have KILLED Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson during an incident on Saturday. Ex-Stoke man Huth was booked for a foul on Wilson, and proceeded to kick the ball at the Cherries forward's head from point-blank range. Halsey, speaking to you-are-the-ref.com, thinks the FA should take action against the German, referencing the tragic case of Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes. "The FA should re-visit that," he said. "Kicking a ball in that manner, at that pace at a fellow professional, who is on the floor , that's a disgrace. So he could have killed someone by kicking the football into the stand? Watch out Sol Campbell, the arsenal fans are after you for attempted murder.
The Doctor Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 So he could have killed someone by kicking the football into the stand? I think that makes Waghorn a serial killer.
Babylon Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 I think that makes Waghorn a serial killer. Ha ha was literally about to post the same.
Les-TA-Jon Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Am I the only one who doesn't even see the ball make contact with wilson in the highlights?
VLC86 Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Took a ball square in the nose myself on Sunday, might press charges.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 So keepers should head gear, they get smashed in the head a lot from close range
AyewJoking Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Took a ball square in the nose myself on Sunday, might press charges. Â tea bagging gone awry?
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Proof that the majority of refs have never played the game to a decent standard in their lives.Â
Kitchandro Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Am I the only one who doesn't even see the ball make contact with wilson in the highlights? Â No I'm pretty sure he misses him completely. Â In which case he's not even done anything wrong.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 So keepers should head gear, they get smashed in the head a lot from close range  I was a keeper for years, but you don't have to be if you watch football, keepers spreading themselves in close up one on ones often get smacked square in the face without knowing anything about it.
KP Fox Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Police must intervene and arrest him for attempted murder in that case. Yes, and because he is German, Interplod will have to be involved.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Am I the only one who doesn't even see the ball make contact with wilson in the highlights? I've been desperate to see it from another angle so I can see this face contact everyone's been talking about.
