He's actually struggled a little bit this season with Atheti. Mix between a few niggles and Simione preferring Jackson Martinez to partner Griezman. Torres Aswel has been used more than Vietto. Who knows maybe a cheeky loan bid in Jan.... Wishful thinking me thinks

How much would Austin likely cost to sign in January? If it's quite a bit I don't think the owners will pay it when he's out of contract in the summer.

What about tempting Demba Ba back to the prem?

Sign him up and then loan him to Peterborough for the rest of the season. That would still be a step up for him

Leicester had a scout go down to watch him a few times last season when he was playing for St Andrews.

Personally wouldn't want us to add much in Jan, unless a near-guaranteed improvement were to become available. In which case, maybe a RB, ST and GK. But our squad is big enough and good enough for where we want to be I think.

Striker and Right Back that suits our style of play and a keeper that can provide some real competition to Kasper.

 

CB to blood in for upcoming seasons or a proven (perhaps more short term) quality player who could come in for Huth or Wes if either were to be injured.

We've got plenty of strikers and if needed they'll do the job. We need a RB as a priority and a better no.1 keeper. Otherwise we have good depth in case of injury.

Personally I'd love to see a bid for steven caulker. I know he's on a season long loan to Southampton but he isn't really getting a look in with Jose Fonte and Virjil Van Dijk. If not in January then I'd seriously consider a bid in the summer.

He's only 23 and also is 6ft 3. Morgan, Huth and Was are all the wrong side of 30 now. Was, as much as I love him, I can't see him being here for the start of next season.

With the position we're in I think we're a very attractive proposition for most players and I can't see him saying no to a serious bid.

Splash the cash, strength defensive, plan for the furture. I can really see him and Leam Moore being or centre back pairing for years to come...

Why's everyone obsessed with getting a new striker in, we've got no problems up front. What we really need is a decent goalkeeper, an improvement at right back and a back up left back (maybe we've found one in chilwell). In my opinion, we've got enough options in the spine of the team except goalkeeper (and I think we need to do better than Kasper to progress). We've just got a lack of quality and option in the full back position, and not a lot of options out wide, providing we don't get dyer on a permanent in January/summer

In order of preference;

 

1) Goalscoring striker

2) Right back

3) Centre-back
4) Keeper
5) Left back

6) Attacking central midfielder

7) Target man

 

Not all at once but those are 7 types of player I think would improve the squad.
