Vardy allegedly to consider his foxes future in the summer

Business?? Who bloody cares? You hang onto your best players, and right now he's the best we have. If he was showing signs of decline, fair enough, but he's still improving, and having started late there's no reason he won't keep going at this level till 33/34.

Hadn't actually occurred to me - Kevin Phillips proved he was still an effective striker well into his late 30's. If we can keep hold of Vards and he continues to improve, I dread to think how lethal he'll be in 3 or 4 years

I think we're in a great position now - clearly a team on the up and with money behind us we have no reason to sell. Vardy could well be tempted away from us by a top team, but he knows that he'd be unlikely to start as a regular and certainly wouldn't have the style of play based around him. Maybe him being shunned somewhat in the England squad has shown him how much he is wanted at Leicester, and how playing around more "prestigious" players isn't all that

The figure about £20m being good business is nonsense. Name one player we could directly replace him with who'd offer what he does? If there is one, he'd be a hell of a lot more than £20m.

I know he signed a new contract in the summer.... But if, by his own performances, he is going to elevate himself into a genuine top Quality prem striker, i can see another new contract in the summer. And if so,  that will truly nail himself down to this club for the best years of his career

The only thing the summer contract did was declare him to be one of the best at the club.

Kevin Phillips never had or relied on pace, that's the difference. Vardy's game is about energy and pace, both of which are going to drop. But no reason he can't be effective for another 3 year or so.

Does this answer the stupid article

Mirror report "every Leicester player set to leave in January with the exception of Vardy, Schlupp and Mahrez".

"Which Leicester player other than Vardy, Schlupp and Mahrez would be the best for Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool? Vote here."

Liam, Newcastle "haha none of them r good enouff for Liverpool wot a joke"

David, London "I'd take Schmeichel all day long, best goalkeeper outside the top clubs, he'd be a bargain at three million"

etc..........

Fair point, but just look at how much better his finishing has gotten since this time last year. Hell, look how much better it's gotten since the beginning of this year. His positioning has also really improved. If you think about it, neither one of the goals against the Saints was directly related to pace. Same goes for the goal against Villa. He was in the right place at the right time. If that development continues, he could remain a solid striker even when he starts to lose a few steps.

It's called clickbait just ignore it, everyone retweeting and posting the story on here is doing exactly what they want you to do.

If stories about Vardy get a lot of clicks, hits, start trending then you are just going to get more of this shit.

Don't post the link, if you must talk about it on here then copy and paste the article.

even if it were true could we really begrudge him doing that? he has made a massive contribution to this club in his time here, any move would come with a large fee, he has to look out for his career and future after football

Keep him and buy Walcott and play them both up front for the next two seasons after this.

Strike alight..great idea. Promise Walcott no9 central roll, with Vardy at his side criss-crossing, be a perfect match.

Lets get Wenger on the phone tomorrow.

I tell you something, it would be worth a try for England, with Rooney sitting just behind, and an in form Sterling beeing the feed.

But you and I see things light years before the so called experts!!!!,

So Claudio on Sky, just confirmed.....Vardy nor Mahrez are not going anywhere.

Another thing dont forget owners blew away Pearson, got Ranieri to improve citys chance of a high position in the PL

It's probably John Cross (Chief Football Writer for the Mirror) trying to cause sh*t as he predicted we would finish bottom and get relegated this season!

Just watching Liverpool tonight makes you realise that an in form striker is worth his weight his gold.

Despite spending a trillion quid, they have no-one any good up front.

I so hope we keep Vardy.

I think there's too much pressure on Origi; he's had a decent time at Lille, but he's only 20 and he'll learn from his mistakes.

Where was Vardy when he was 20? Vardy's learnt from playing crap initially in crap league and, via his commitment and desire, he's done exceptionally well.

Oh no, this means that Ranieri has hinted that the rest of the Leicester squad is up for sale, start new thread quick lol

Why do these sort of Newspapers think that we are a nothing club that can't keep hold of our best players? Twisting words, manipulating his sentences, all for what? To put forward their agenda in the wake they can claim that they were the first to actually publish it. ****ing pathetic.
