Vardy allegedly to consider his foxes future in the summer

Cant see him leaving unless he asks to leave. Reason being I think we will value him at much higher than any club is willing to pay. Teams like Spurs, Liverpool will only want to pay around 12m for him but really we'd be silly to sell him for any less than 30m - unless he requests to leave.

If Vardy is serious about his England career/the euros then he's better off staying with us that sitting on the bench at Man City. It doesn't seem to be affecting his chances with England so far. Give him an improved contract and be done with it.

Or better off playing at Liverpool or Tottenham.

I assume the 'rumours' are an attempt to get improved terms on the deal he signed in 2014

Remember the last English striker that came from non league and was scoring for fun then decided to join Liverpool. Current whereabouts unknown......

He's better off staying at City - Vardy has always needed time to settle in to a new environment, which he himself has admitted.  Here, he has a team which will play to his strengths and this will help him get to Euro 2016 as a leading player as opposed to being part of the supporting cast if he moves on and struggles to settle in somewhere else, especially as Liverpool/Tottenham/Real Madrid have "star players" who will be accommodated above Vardy because they have a bigger name.

I'm sure this is all coming from the agent, he's capitalising on Vardy's excellent form to get a better contract.  The way he's playing, I say pay the man!

Where we think he'll be best playing and where he thinks he'll be best might not be the same.

I hope he stays, I hope his current form continues but this sort of speculation is the price you pay for success. You tend to get two seasons with a player before someone swoops in and takes them.

Let's hope even tho most is probably lazy journalism that all these teams linked with Jamie isn't going to unsettle him as in the past it has with some players !

I am so glad we no longer have to sell our best players to balance the books and that we have owners with ambition and pretty deep pockets!

So one bit of advice for any journalist spouting crap to either unsettle Jamie or not or any club wishing to buy our top scoring England international !

YOU CAN ALL GO AND FOOK RIGHT OFF !! lol

Real Madrid identify Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy as the perfect January transfer target – report

Real Madrid are interested in a January transfer move for Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy, according to reports in Spain.

The Spanish giants are set to enter the market for a new forward and Vardy’s form has not escaped their attention.

The England international, 28, has scored 10 goals in 10 Premier League matches this season and his sensational form has not gone unnoticed.

And Fichajes have astonishingly reported that Real are considering signing Vardy to provide competition to Karim Benzema.

They believe he would be an excellent second striker to challenge Benzema for a starting spot.

And as he’s not played in Europe, they could register him for the Champions League in January.

They do have form for buying a PL player who can just 'run very fast'!

From a technical perspective, JV is a million miles away from being a Madrid player but stepping back and thinking about him and bale breaking together .....

Would be very difficult to plan tactically against a side containing two players with frightening pace and the others with fantastic technique.

We wouldn't be able to stop him going there but I don't believe they would make a bid.

It's a seller's market as far as Vardy is concerned and strikers can make a massive difference to a club's fortunes. Vardy has exceptional qualities and has worked hard to improve his technique.

Suggested bids around £12m are utterly laughable. Vardy's not some declining carthorse. He's swift, keen, brave, full of adrenalin and a current England striker.

If Vardy really wanted out I'd open the book at £30m and let the bidding clubs fight it out between them. Even then I wouldn't be eager to sell the guy because there's no way we'd find it easy to replace him...either in spirit or ability.

He'd be mad not to go to Madrid. It's a crazy story but if it's true fair play. Non league to Real Madrid would be making history.

That would make a great film.....linked to Liverpool this morning in their local paper the Echo.

Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on Leicester’s Jamie Vardy ahead of a potential transfer.

The English forward has found the net ten times in his last ten appearances for Claudio Ranieri’s side and is the Premier League’s top scorer this season.

And Vardy’s form has caught the attention of the Reds who are weighing up a possible move for the 28-year-old, according to ESPN FC.

Tottenham manager Maurico Pochettino is also understood to be keeping an eye on Vardy to support Harry Kane at White Hart Lane.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s style of pressing at Anfield is perfectly suited to Vardy’s work ethic which could push the ex-Borussia Dortmund into trying to sign him.

Said a couple of days ago, if he goes anywhere I wouldn't be surprised if it's Liverpool.

They need a pacey striker to fill in for the eternally injured Sturridge. And Vardy is a Klopp type player. His game is based on hard work, defending from the front and all that.

So, we have gone from a player, who the media ignored and the rest of the country slagging him off and saying he's not good enough.

To a player that is now wanted by a handful or more bigger clubs.

So i can come to 1 of 2 conclusions, Other fans know shit and people in the game can see what he offers or, media make shit up. Could be both I guess.

Posted

No Because vardy is basically all down to pace. He isn't that good technically. For example Chris Wood can get away with not having pace due to his fantastic technical ability. Could you imagine vardy scoring that goal against Burnley?

I can't believe it's a Leicester fan writing this. Did you see the header against Southampton? Did you see the flick over the keeper and finish on Saturday? Not to mention the technique required to run at full tilt *just* out of reach of the defender, so they either foul you or let you by.

Absolute nonsense-you read too much from the mainstream media who need to rationalise why a player of his calibre is playing for Leicester, while Man U and Liverpool squabble over £40m also rans...

every player currently on forests books added together in 13 games have less goals this season than vardy in ten by himself. great guy.
