Vardy allegedly to consider his foxes future in the summer

... I'd pick Vardy over Costa away at Real Madrid or Barca any day of the week.

So would I, but we haven't signed Costa yet, and we won't be playing at Real or Barca till next season, so we can defer the problem till then!☺

Vardy's Missus said it all for me! Certainly not performing as if he's 'considering his future' what a load of sh*t. Think we would all agree that this nonsense comes all because we are starting to turn heads in the way in which we play as a team and more so how Vardy himself is performing.

I think he was more saying he repaid Nigel Pearson who has now left

Stop that use of brain cells, you're supposed to be English!

It's genius, isn't it? That's modern "journalism" for you.

Making up a story by blowing one partial sentence out of proportion, taking it out of context and then as a consequence, giving it a different spin. :appl:

I'm glad I read Vardy's full answer where he comes to a general conclusion by saying that "managers leave clubs and so do players", without referring to himself in particular.

Exactly. The question was in relation to the £1m that Pearson paid for Vardy. "It was a big gamble for him [Pearson]. Hopefully I repaid it all."

Amazingly poor journalism.

Van Gaal is quoted today as saying that Man United are "on Schedule".

So tomorrow's Mirror headline: "Van Gaal hints that he's taken United as far as he can, and is preparing to leave in the Summer." :D

He'd be crazy to leave us. He's not a versatile player, but is fantastic at what he does. At Leicester we've built a team around him and play perfectly to his strengths, at a bigger club that won't be the case and will no doubt struggle.

It wouldn't surprise me if Liverpool make a bid in the next transfer window, as Klopp will admire his work-rate and defending from the front.

I agree

61% of people think he will leave in the summer  lol. I hate 99% of football fans in this country.

Tells you everything you need to know really doesn't it. Delusional and ridiculously easily lead.

I took the bit about being contracted to Leicester in a similar way; he was saying he was disappointed that Pearson left but that he's contracted to Leicester (as opposed to Pearson) and that he'll do his job no matter who's in charge.

I personally don't think he's in a rush to go anywhere, but like others have said I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool made a move as he'd fit Klopp's style perfectly.

I don't think it's as unrealistic as everyone is making out that he could leave in the summer. Why is it so ridiculous? It's the way football works, yeah the new more even distribution of money has made things different but there is still a pecking order in football and we're not near as high as some people seem to think. Hope he doesn'e leave but it wasn't too long ago many on here would of drove him to West Brom for £5m themselves, Summer is a long way away yet.

Edit: don't get me wrong that article is absolutely pathetic.

I don't think it's unrealistic to think he could leave, I think it's laughable that people are being convinced by the weakest of journalism. It really is the worst journalism out there and yet still people are sitting there using it as a reason he'll leave. It's more an issue with the delusion of fans in general than the potential of Vardy leaving.

"Vardy is way too good for Leicester because he's the top scorer in the league!"

"But does that mean he's good enough for the England squad?"

"Nah he's shite he shouldn't be anywhere near the England squad"

Sums things up rather neatly I think.

Unless it's for a top 4 club, he would be mad to leave. Even then he probably wouldnt actually get to start. Leicester play to his fast style which alot of other teams wouldn't. I'm sure he realises that aswell

Doesn't matter, if someone's willing to offer 20m+ for a 29 year old going on 30, then they we've made absolute killer business.

Business?? Who bloody cares? You hang onto your best players, and right now he's the best we have. If he was showing signs of decline, fair enough, but he's still improving, and having started late there's no reason he won't keep going at this level till 33/34.

Luckily, the article is a pile of shite, and Vardy is modestly saying he hopes he's repaid the faith that's been shown in him. I think, hope and trust that he knows how much we've adapted our play to suit him, how we are getting the best from him and we can improve, where Spurs or Liverpool will shove him on the wing/use him as a Europa League sub. I think he wants to play, and wants to be loved, and the best place for that is Leicester :)

Exactly! Vardy is the best striker we've had at this club since the days of Smith and Lineker! It's not as easy as just getting £20mil and then replacing him when players of his quality at Leicester are very very rare.

Look how Liverpool and Spurs have failed to failed to replace Suarez or Bale despite getting paid silly money for them - some players are irreplaceable - it's nowhere near as easy as selling him for "good business".
