Interesting Stat.

ML Level stake betting to £1 stake for each of his results since the start of the season

+£87.65 profit.

Seems hes not that bad!

For an outlay of £242 it's not that impressive really. For a so called expert.

Themightyfin isnt saying its impressive, just that its not necessarily as bad as people make out.

Well no it is, form switches at times, us at West Ham last season for example. He fancied them to pick up, fancied us to drop off. It's his opinion

My main point aside from the fact he does actually predict enough results to win every week, is that predicting football is not a strict science, if it was the general public would rich and the bookies poor. You want to call him a **** for the way he is or the fact he ridiculously thinks Alaska is a country fair dos, you want to call him out for predicting results, you have a go.

He's not predicting a league table though is he, as much as people keep referring to that comparison table, he's predicting a score on an individual game basis. So he can think we're going to fall off all he likes but surely against the likes of Swansea, Newcastle etc anyone with an ounce of knowledge of football would predict a team doing relatively well at the top end of the table to come out on top. I expect West Ham will fall away from challenging for the top four this season, but I still fancy the to beat Newcastle this weekend.

Great lead article in The Grauniad's football newsletter, The Fiver yesterday: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jan/14/the-fiver-leicester-tottenham-liverpool-arsenal-check-out-this-se-oh?utm_source=esp&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=The+Fiver+main&utm_term=150769&subid=2714395&CMP=EMCFTBEML853. The description of Lawrenson as a "thatch-haired Nostradamus" is one to treasure.

He acknowledged the discrepancy this week:

Leicester are another team far lower in my league table (see bottom of page) than in reality, but I am not the only pundit that expected their results to have tailed off by now.

I have got Aston Villa in their correct position, however, and I do not see it changing much any time soon.

Villa ended their long wait for a victoryagainst Crystal Palace on Tuesday but I do not see them winning as many games as they will need to stay in the top flight, especially because the teams above them will pick up points too.

Lawro's prediction: 0-2

Jordan & Bellew: 0-4

You have to be kidding, if those figures are correct (which I doubt) that's a 36.2% ROI.

I'm a professional gambler and make less than 1% on ROI but I do trade for high volumes in in running markets like tennis.

If I knew someone who was worth anywhere near 36.2% over a much bigger sample size I'd be all over it as would any professional gambler in the world.

On Five Live this evening they were going through all the players that make up the strong British core to Bournemouth's team and how Eddie Howe was hada lot of British players since promotion.

Lawro pipes up with Josh King. lol

Leicester v Stoke

I can totally understand why Leicester rested so many players in their FA Cup replay with Spurs in midweek, because they have got a serious chance of making the top four.

Stoke have a similar issue here, because they go to Anfield on Tuesday for the second leg of their League Cup semi-final.

I don't think Mark Hughes will rotate too much this weekend, but Leicester will be at full strength and I think they will get back on the rails.

Lawro's prediction: 2-1

Ice Cube & Kevin Hart: 1-1

SHIIIIIIIT.

Now he predicts us to win? After some off the pace performances? And with some sensible reasoning?

I miss the days of "Stoke will play their u18 team, and Leicester are bound to lose sometime so 0-4 to Stoke.

'Twas on a dark and stormy night the wind was running wild. The lonely Leicester manger thought of his wife and child he also thought of his players while lying awake in bed. Mark lawrenson the blooming idiot has predicted us to win in stead. 2-1 city will take that
