MC Prussian Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 I Agree but i find it quite strange to find everyone slating a team who are top of the league. Granted we were poor tonight but we can't just sack the whole team off, Villa were going for it big time tonight! But only after we handed them the keys on a silver platter!
SecretPro Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 I'm off to the Transfer section in the hope that we have signed a world class striker.
vulpes0763 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Riyad and Ranieri did us today. Villa were woeful and from 1-0 up that is a ridiculous point shall we get rid of them then! You are having a go at a manager who has took us to the top of the league . Get a grip and remember about all the fantastic performances this season.
tcrofts Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 An absolutely disgraceful performance tonight. These painfully negative tactics which rely on a solid defence, set-pieces and huge dollops of luck to get us points simply has to stop. Couldn't give a shit where we are in the league right now, play like that for much longer and we're ****ed. It's no wonder the vast majority of the country see's us bombing down the league at the any moment with displays like that. ****ed in what way?
Babylon Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Don't be so sanctimonious. They are talking about this game; that's what people do in post-match threads. Everybody knows we are top of the league, but that doesn't make today's performance any less bewildering and unsatisfactory. In fact, it adds to the sense of frustration because we played teams like Swansea and Newcastle off their own park and played some quite brilliant football while doing so. We know what we can do and that's what makes today's game more of a shocker. They aren't telling just about this game... Did you miss people saying we won't win the league playing like this ffs. As per usual, people have turned into privileged utter cock end fans who think they deserve to win everything. It's not good enough at the minute as the subs and tactics are questionable... But ffs don't go on about where we are in the league... You know... TOP!!!!!!!!!
Fennec-Fox Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 the main reason we didn't win today was his crap penalty. whether you fancy him or not i ain't really arsed, just saying that's why we aren't celebrating a win tonight. he's the most skilful and arguably best player I've ever seen play for us but this isn't the "talk about mahrez's two years here" thread, it's the Aston villa match thread and in the Aston villa match he cost us two points. it's a shame and you might not want to believe it but it's true. It's understandable that every1 is disappointed for not getting 3 pts including myself , but hey things like that happens best footballers miss crustial pen kicks and nothing is perfect....it was clear that Mahrez was getting over this penalty missing by simply kick it as soon as possible the most simple way and not complicated things...could have gone in and everything is over and could have gone wrong as it did, shht happens and here we are....I do accept him not getting a pen anymore fair enough, but showing no support and understanding for things like that is simply too poor for me and unfortunate....I was saying today Mahrez need a new goal today to refresh didn't happen, maybe Leicester need to rest him for the next game or two to start new.
Beliall Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 I'm more angry at the ref and Mahrez shit penalty than the game tbh
Buzzell Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Shouldn't of took Okazaki off. As soon as he came off we decided to park the bus against Villa. Villa ffs
Buzzell Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 And Gestede's goal. Lovely hand control to bring the ball down
Guest Col city fan Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Was thinking about this earlier today. Don't we have to still go away to Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd? We are top still which is amazing. But we are going to have to step up to stay here. Saying that, Mahrez has lost us four points in recent weeks with utterly dreadful penalties. I still think we need to invest and to freshen things up a bit. The shining light today was Oza and I have no idea why he was taken off.
Devonfox1884 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 https://twitter.com/OptaJoe/status/688441478729887744?s=09 When you put it like that...
Robin JD Popley Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Mahrez's miss again costs us two points, so we really SHOULD be on 48 points but... We're back to the Top of The League and The Champions League is beginning to look a genuine possibility. There's two statements I never thought I'd be writing as a Leicester City fan.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 They aren't telling just about this game... Did you miss people saying we won't win the league playing like this ffs. But ffs don't go on about where we are in the league... You know... TOP!!!!!!!!! Our league position is due to past results, not future ones. Saying that we won't win the league or finish top 4 playing like we did today is a fairly safe statement The sanctimony of people on here is breathtaking sometimes. Why do you get to decide what people should and shouldn't "go on about"? Nobody is bemoaning our season so far! They are talking about this game and making the perfectly reasonable statement that, if future performances are anything like today's, we will struggle, particularly as we have an extremely tough run of fixtures coming up.
vulpes0763 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 The tinker man has tinkered. It ain't working! Change it back now! Cheers Claudio. He has done great to get us where we are but I don't like how we have played the last 5 or 6 games. Soak and counter is not what I want to see, not after seeing the high pressure game be so successful from March to December. and your qualifications to manage the team are.........?
weller54 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Cash in on Mahrez... Anyone out there got 30m?... ...Looks like he's already gone watching him lately!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Bournemouth and Villa have been seriously frustrating... just not taking the chances and killing games like we were doing earlier in the season... only two goals scored in 5 league games... that is a worry.
foxfanazer Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 shall we get rid of them then! You are having a go at a manager who has took us to the top of the league . Get a grip and remember about all the fantastic performances this season.I'm not having a go at him. They've both been unbelievable for us but they both got it wrong today. I'm sure by tomorrow I'll be back to being positive but right now it feels like we've pulled our pants down and took one from one of the worst footballing sides I can remember watching. Ranieri has done very little wrong so far but I just can't fathom that substitution that changed the whole mentality of the game
Webbo Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Shouldn't of took Okazaki off. As soon as he came off we decided to park the bus against Villa. Villa ffs Villa were well on top at that stage any way.

weller54 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Huth a liability tonight.. Rest and get Wasilewski in!
sdb Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Agree with Ranieri in that it's rather frustrating that Dyer last week is a handball but Gestede this week isn't.
