Rushden fox Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 An absolutely disgraceful performance tonight. These painfully negative tactics which rely on a solid defence, set-pieces and huge dollops of luck to get us points simply has to stop. Couldn't give a shit where we are in the league right now, play like that for much longer and we're ****ed. It's no wonder the vast majority of the country see's us bombing down the league at the any moment with displays like that. I have to agree with this, they flooded the midfield and made it scappy and we joined them. We had no answers. We play far better passing it around the middle ten releasing out wide. Today was just poor. However, we are top of the league. Come on you blues
Matt Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Will never happen but id love to see Kramaric given a few games. No. He's not looked bothered when he's been given a chance. We need people with energy as it is, he is no better than we played today, that is not good enough.
Kitchandro Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Got what we deserved. We're miles better than them and the second half was so negative. They should have been out of sight at half time but the lack of confidence in our second half display was baffling. We need to remember what we built our success on - it's not booting it up to one man and hope for the best.
Spence Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Everyone saying how awful that was, played like crap, team needs to be changed blah blah blah… can we please realise WE'RE TOP OF THE LEAGUE! have to stay positive, next few games will be hard but we can get points from all of them! not the best performance by any means, thought Albright was really poor tonight, went for a lot of shots when he could have looked for a past etc. Also Ulloa just isn't quite good enough as an impact sub atm, kind of wishing we had Nuge back to come on in a game like that! A POINT TAKES US TOP!
Izzy Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 We've been poor recently. Did anybody really think we were going to go through a whole season playing like we did on opening day? Tiredness sets in, teams start working us out to some extent. But we're still picking up points, grinding out results and we're top ffs, 9 points ahead of 5th. This - all day long
MC Prussian Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Maybe Rather, Looking all and saying if I've been still there I would add that big plus... But shame Missing a pen and people turn against you in a blink rather than showing some support for clearly lost of confidence, such an ingratitude. Mahrez left the field and Leicester still WINNIng.... And maybe if you simply moved on after that pen missed maybe Leicester would have scored more goals but seeing in the thread people panicking and blaming it all on Mahrez, made me switch off. ...Yea blame it all on Mahrez.....or you know what just sell him sell him sell him as someone said, or simply stop playing him period. That means you haven't read the thread properly at all. Mahrez' effort today was shocking, but so was the rest of the team on the whole. I accept the fact that even good players can have an off-day, but that wasn't the first time Riyad has been careless, ineffective on his own and looked somewhat disinterested. It was as if he had his head someplace else.
Karljohn Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Dreadful performance, Mahrez appears to have gone back to not having the stomach for a fight, Wasyl in for Huth, need to go into the market for a striker too.
GeorgeTheFox Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Have to say, although its not really relevant, when the penalty was taken there were 6 Villa players in the box and 0 Leicester players. Just annoys me when theres a rule thats not enforced
Rushden fox Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 4 points from 2 away games with one being Spurs is a good return True
foxes21 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 No. He's not looked bothered when he's been given a chance. We need people with energy as it is, he is no better than we played today, that is not good enough. Errr did you forget his 9000 mile sprint back to stop Liverpool from scoring an open goal? Ulloa is shit. Kramaric is surely better then him.
foxes161 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 awful Sitting back like we are playing man city. Dissapointing
FOXES-BROWNBOY Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Played a lot better on Wednesday night, probably a fair result, not sure why we went defensive
SecretPro Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Been far too defensive in the last month or so, I know trying to keep clean sheet's is great but I'd rather we bough back the 3-2 wins. The attacking intent at the moment looks nothing like it did three months ago. Bad substitution today which just served to make us even more defensive against a shocking Villa side. Need's addressing, some players need resting and we need to start closing down the way we did in the first half of the season.
Dr The Singh Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 People moaning we won't win the league after games like this.... Ha ha ha ha ha!! Sort yourselves out yo utter gonads. Yes we were shit, yes tactics have gone awol, yes yes players were shit...but ffs don't moan about the league position. Xx Alot of people are doubting due to the fact we have been off the boil for the last 4/5 matches. The goals have dried up and our so called magic players are no longer magic
The Doctor Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Everyone saying how awful that was, played like crap, team needs to be changed blah blah blah… can we please realise WE'RE TOP OF THE LEAGUE! have to stay positive, next few games will be hard but we can get points from all of them! not the best performance by any means, thought Albright was really poor tonight, went for a lot of shots when he could have looked for a past etc. Also Ulloa just isn't quite good enough as an impact sub atm, kind of wishing we had Nuge back to come on in a game like that! A POINT TAKES US TOP! The position doesn't matter, I don't care that's taken us top for a day or so - the point is that we played like amateurs out there, spent the entire second half inviting them back into the game.
adam Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 If we dont buy a forward we will finish about 8th. Ulloa is clearly not up to it .
chrishlcfc Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Disappointing performance, but we are allowed to have a disappointing performance. Ffs anybody would think that we would be deep in relegation trouble the reactions of some people on here. Penalty miss changed the game, 2nd half villa went more route 1 and we didn't cope with it, huth had an off night. Frustrating evening, but still top of the league. People need to look at the bigger picture.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 I want us to win the league, but this is the blip since the Liverpool game, and it isn't all bad I guess... we are still picking up points. Just need to get back to scoring
harpendenfox Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Some players didn't play well but no need to accuse them of bottling it or not having the stomach for it. We just didn't play too well. Even champions screw up sometimes. Remember the Yeovil game in the Champiomship season?
Fox92 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Everyone saying how awful that was, played like crap, team needs to be changed blah blah blah… can we please realise WE'RE TOP OF THE LEAGUE! have to stay positive, next few games will be hard but we can get points from all of them! not the best performance by any means, thought Albright was really poor tonight, went for a lot of shots when he could have looked for a past etc. Also Ulloa just isn't quite good enough as an impact sub atm, kind of wishing we had Nuge back to come on in a game like that! A POINT TAKES US TOP! So just because we're top of the league we can't criticize? Today was a poor performance, regardless of whether we're top or bottom. I get fed up of using this 'we are top of the league' shite as an excuse.
RedSoxUK Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Thought Drinkwater was supber again, problems were all over the pitch but he stood out amongst 21 other pretty average players today.
AmyLGK Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Alot of people are doubting due to the fact we have been off the boil for the last 4/5 matches. The goals have dried up and our so called magic players are no longer magic THIS!
Matt Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 4 points from 2 away games with one being Spurs is a good return When you put it like that, it's not too bad. But in context, it's still disappointed and doesn't excuse our 2nd half performance today.
crisp packet Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 4 points out of Spurs away and villa away . Top? Yes, we all would have taken that ... Don't worry be happy!!
