LCFC Commentary moments

For some reason I get huge goosebumps from Bill Leslie's commentary. The Chris Wood goal vs Burnley, Knockaert vs Watford, Konchesky vs Wolves to name a few.

Konchesky.....THAT'LL DO IT, A CRACKAH, FROM KONCHESKY

Jon Champions commentary for Cambiasso and Vardy against Man U is decent too

In addition to the above, "Allez, les bleus! Allez, les bleus" against our inferior East Midlands rivals a few years ago.

Yes!! That Southend one was amazing. Didn't we go on to win 2-1 in the end and keep up the unbeaten start?

We did win 2-1, Walshie got the winner with a header, it was crazy that day in Southend. People on here raving about current atmosphere, not a patch on that day.

West London, May 15th, 2016:

"We're deep into stoppage time here at the Bridge,.. as it stands, it looks like the title is heading to North London... the referee looks at his watch... Leicester have thrown everyone forward for this corner.. even goalkeeper Schmeichel... Fuchs hits it deep.... SCHMEICHELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!"

It might fall for Drinkwaaaaterrrrr, What a goal, Danny Drinkwater rescues a point for the league leaders! With a never say die attitude, and an absolutely blitzing half volley, to spoil Watford's day!

That's why you become Champions! When you pick out moments like that.

Still some of the best scenes I can ever remember at Filbert Way. I couldn't bear losing to them after what happened the season before.

Stringer is a willy puller - clearly not a City fan but happy to climb on the bandwagon for his own future.

Hate Stringer's rehearsed lines. When we went up it was all "This is our year" and when we had just come up last season it was all "they're here Premier League and they're here to stay"... soon had to bin that one didn't he?!

I've always felt with the Knockaert goal commentary it was pre-planned. The best ones are the simplest ("Aguerrrroooooo"). Martin Tyler really is the pinnacle.

Aguerooooooo was Guy Mowbray wasn't it?

Cambiasso equaliser vs Man U last season was good. Nothing will beat that Aguerooooooo moment. Even as a Leicester fan that moment was still incredible.

I also liked Vardys goal vs MAn U last season when we went 4-3 up.

VARDY COULD WIN IT HERE FOR THEM....HE SCORES

Knockaert when he scored against Watford at vicarage road 'that buries a lot of demons' and Chris woods goal and subsequent sky commentary against burnley, both very good. But lots more over the years no doubt that have been forgotten.

"that is a thunderbolt that shoots leicester into the touching distance of the premier league!"

all i remember of that goal is wood crushing that photographer with the advertising board.

the aguerooooo moment was made so much better by the side by side of the man u fans, that woman in the away end who is clapping and cheering and then just silenced. that and "watch it, drink it in, you will never see anything like this ever again!"

i liked g nev's 2 "ooooh moments." torres v barca and drogba in that last minute against munich.

Others of mention would be "and solskjaer has won it!"

there must be some from the liverpool AC game but i was too drunk to remember them (dads a liverpool fan, we drank to forget then drank to celebrate)

One of the worst pieces of commentary has to have been on Vardy's last minute winner at West Brom last season. Something like 'VARDY! Leicester City have really done it now' but it just sounded like it was painful for the commentator to say.

Gotta agree with AKCJ that Stringer's at Forest was cringeworthy.

Martin Tyler's for Vardy's 11th in a row this season was class... 'IT'S ELEVEN, IT'S HEAVEN FOR JAMIE VARDY!'

Absolutey. Both pieces of commentary that day, Sky's and the BBC's were absolutely dire. The one you cite was from Sky. BBC had the inspiring "Vardyyyyy..... Scores!" and that was about it. Maybe it meant more to us as fans rather than the commentators.

The BBC commentary for the 3-3 and 4-3 goals at Man Utd was also really underwhelming, though I think it was the same commentator on both the Man Utd and WBA games. Typical.

May upset a few here but the whole "Forestieri... here's Holt...[you know the rest]" is always going to be memorable.  I actually look back on that moment with fondness knowing how the following season played out with AK redeeming himself while that arrogant lot were made to look utterly ridiculous celebrating their annual holiday while we romped the league.  Good times, well, bad times, but good times.
