Blanesta Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Why was Simpson holding straight after his booking? silly sending off, it was right in the sight of the ref.
Itsthejoeker Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 We're still 2 clear, Tottenham and Man City will draw, and Arsenal have got a random United side next week
MC Prussian Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 15 seconds more and we were 6 points ****ing clear Err... no. It'd have been five points clear... after a draw between Manchester City and Spurs, that is.
what? Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Still top of the league - and now with a strong sense of injustice - we're still on for this. This. Let's use this as a jumping off point. I can't see their heads dropping. Hopefully they'll be angry more than anything and come out all guns blazing against Norwich.
tyfox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Pathetic challenge from wasyl absolutely shocking. Ref has had a shocker all day today though
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Genuine point. If arsenal fans are proud of that sort of performance against ten men after ten years of building. I fear for there low expectations. Seriously, it was pathetic from them.
Guest Cujek Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Game ruined by coward ref Cvnt ref, Cvnt manager, Cvnt team. **** em, Nancy southerners. 3 points from the next game get it back on, ref can't cheat every week surely? I would love to know where they get the added on time from, do these prices have to explain themselves at all?
Sharpe's Fox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Gutted but we will still win the league.
ian_marshall Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Silly silly challenge from Was. Feel sorry for the lads, didn't deserve a defeat for the way they defended. Time to bounce back now against Norwich.
Happy Fox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Not the end of the world. We are still top and have some fairly winnable games coming up provided we apply ourselves like we have done.
st albans fox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Was is fine as a centre back but not as a right back He played Walcott onside for the first and did it again shortly afterwards Perhaps would have been better dropping albrighton back?
crisp packet Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 On to the next one, two weeks off some winter sun. Norwich feel the backlash!!!
Jfox90 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Feel so sick..a game of fine margins and a couple of small mistakes have cost us dearly. Cant knock the performance as a whole and In a strange way it might be good to not have a huge gap at the top to keep focused on the job ahead...we pick ourselves up and make up for it with a win vs norwich
Livid Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Atkinson totally bottled it second half. Great performance by our boys but It showed we're a team that doesn't play possession football just kept going for it and giving them the ball back. Would have been nice to have just held it a bit more.
Foxhateram Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Can't stand the way they played second half, they brought the standard right down and dived better than Olympic swimming team. What makes it worse is that ref fell for it! Gutted. Admittedly we made silly mistakes but to have so much pressure piled on by so many poor decisions over the game it's hard to stay in the right place mentally. This feels worse than that Watford game, mainly because the manor in which they have robbed us of at least a point. Yet again the continuity of refereeing standards needs to be addressed, he was dross second half.
EGBFitness Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Agreed, I felt he was unlucky because he tried to pull out, it was the Arsenal player (Monreal?) that made the most of it. I also think a defeat like that isn't the worst thing that could have happened... hopefully it adds that little bit of extra determination / motivation to make our remaining fixtures count. It was a 50/50 aerial challenge, if anything the challenge Wes done in the first half was worst! Arsenal had everything going for them that second half! Luckily we have put ourselves in a position that we could afford to lose today so at least by end of the day we are still top. Hopefully we will keep consistent and not let this defeat effect us. We have 6 points from 3 games we was expected to get 0 l now we have some very winnable games so hopefully nothing to get too disappointed with. Just hard to take conceding so late on
shen Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Feeling empty. Hopefully this will galvanize and not deflate the team. Soft red, but rash from Simpson. Was raging at Wasyl for that late freekick. Wellbeck in the dying secinds was in the script, wasn't it
TJB-fox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Why was Simpson holding straight after his booking? silly sending off, it was right in the sight of the ref.No. If we hadn't been given a contentious penalty then he stays on the pitch. Twatkinson felt he owed them one because of their fans' disgusting moaning and petty behaviour
Blanesta Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 I thought Kante was incredible, he was a best player by far. It was a good all round performance, just wish we watched the fouls.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Still top, had someone said we would be top by two points after the last three games I would have ripped their hands off
Fox_in_a_Box Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Err... no. It'd have been five points clear. Ok but my point remains the same
Lesterlad Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Good one. So he went in for a challenge in the air and now he has ruined the game for us. If he pussied out of the tackle and they scored from it you would of been skating him for not getting stuck in so **** off with that bullshit that Was ruined it.At last someone speaks sense. Yes maybe Was did foul when he shouldn't have but we are top still regardless if it is only 2 points. How many teams lose to Arsenal with a last minute goal we won't be the last. What we do need to do is put this behind us and get a result against Norwich and then move on
