Attack for Swans

Vardy gets a well earned (in more than one sense) rest, we've got options for the attack. I was gonna do a poll but there's too many permutations for me.

Shinji and Ulloa up top seems most likely. Give Shinji a chance to play in the poacher role he played for Mainz.

Could also push Mahrez up top, either in the hole or as a shadow striker, with one of the other two, giving one of Gray or Schlupp a chance wide. Not sure that gives us enough goal threat though.

Could put another midfielder in and compete for possession. Amartey seems to have edged in front of King but I dunno, I like King in these games, often nicks a goal and keeps things tidy. Inler seems unlikely.

I think the smart money goes on Ulloa stepping straight into the side and keeping the same shape. My second choice would probably be using Ulloa as the lone striker and getting Gray, Mahrez, Schlupp around him.

I'll be Leo and Shinji, but i wouldn't mind seeing Schlupp up front for his pace.

I was thinking the same, his directness got us the penalty at the end and that's what Vardy gives us, swapping with Ulloa changes the whole way we play.

Leo will be full of confidence which is a plus, need to plan the tactics carefully for this one without Vardy

I agree but I'm not sure Ranieri will. Especially given Leo has merited a came lately.

Leo was a man possessed today.

He gets the nod for me, would also consider taking Shinji out and playing Schlupp on the wing with Mahrez in behind to make up for the pace we'll miss.

Don't forget Shinji does the Vardy role for Japan and Leo is often deployed in CF/ CAM.

Shinji

Albrighton Ulloa Mahrez

He did well but they can't do 90 minutes, what's going to happen after an hour?

Bring on Super Daniel. Boy can do anything anywhere

anyone mentioned gray yet?

not as a striker but maybe he'll play if mahrez gets used further forward.

we have options but no one that can do vardys job, if he isnt scoring he's still stetching the oppo defence and an option to relieve the pressure with the long ball.

the more i think about it the more im praying for a stoke win tomorrow

Sure it will be Ulloa in, hopefully with Okazaki closer to goal than usual but we can't hit so many early balls into the corner if Vardys not there. If we can't unlock them then bring Mahrez more central, with Gray on the right. All of this presumes Albrighton is okay, it seemed a bit early to go off, I think it became the last thing on our minds after Moss's performance.

I think Leo kinda deserves a start and it might work, but I think we'd be better starting with Jeff and then moving Mahrez into the hole behind Shinji.

I thinks it's mad that we're top of the league and our second and third choice strikers are Okazaki and Ulloa lol

Keep the pace going. Schlupp straight swap?

Ulloa and Shinji.

Change .With Mahrez playing in the slot.

Use Gray/Dodoo even??

Whatever how the descision falls, I dont believe we need any panic reactions.

It'll be Ulloa, Okazaki moving to the main striker with Ulloa just behind him. Would rather go Schlupp and have the two fast players rather than changing our style - Ulloa slows things down too much, hence why he's used to close games out, but claudio is quite predictable for a tinkerman.

Really it's just disappointing that the enforced change means we'll have to have made 27 changes to the starting line up this season and not beat Man Utds record low of 26.

Leo did great today! Held the ball up very well.  Just wondering any chance vardy red card can be rescinded and he can play against Swansea?
