Raw Dykes Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Wow! Makes me feel silly for ever doubting this team. Wasn't ever really worried that we wouldn't win this one, as I knew we'd want it many times more than they would, but I was a bit concerned about where the goal would come from, with Mahrez off-form and our usual style of play not being a definite option with Vardy suspended. Great to see Mahrez playing better. I was a bit worried he wasn't at it for the last few weeks, but hopefully that was just down to fatigue after his last international game. Hopefully, he'll carry on improving before the end of the season. So happy for Leo to get a brace. We have very few options up front, so it's important that the ones we do have can get on the scoresheet. He's so good in set-pieces at both ends, as well. Gray has been impressive in his cameos recently, but today's was on another level. I think we have another gem on our hands. Overall, very reassuringly dominant win. The team looks completely unfazed by the situation. Composed, confident, and as hard-working as always. I fvcking love this team. This win takes us very close to the big prize. Just 5 more points required, or one win and one slip-up by Spurs. The Cocks must be feeling the pressure now. Looking very good at the moment.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 5 points to guarantee the title now ... remarkable
The Blur Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Haha not sure Kingy meant to play that part in the goal I think he meant to play it back into the box but I am not sure whether if he was aiming for Gray or Alrbrighton.
Steven Posted 24 April 2016 Author Posted 24 April 2016 Obvious plaudits go to Schlupp and Ulloa amongst others but let's not forget Mahrez's contribution with and without the ball given some the stick he was given recently. Only Kante ran further today.
Steven Posted 24 April 2016 Author Posted 24 April 2016 They chastised us as a one man team that relied on Vardy. He's out, and we dominated. They derided us as playing boring, scrappy football, only capable of 1-0 wins. We put 4 in the back of the net. Surely we can't be criticised any more? Danny Mills, Glen Hoddle and company will find a way.
EastAnglianFox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 So if Spurs draw just one game, then 3 points do it!?
foxes_rule1978 Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 So if Spurs draw just one game, then 3 points do it!? That is right
MC Prussian Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Danny Mills, Glen Hoddle and company will find a way. And Mark Lawrenson will still pip Liverpool to the title.
katieakita Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Cold light of day if spurs don't win all 4 we are 1 win from the title and a top 2 finish has now been guaranteed, every Arsenal fan will want us to win it now the best thing is you all know Ponch and Kane's bottom lips would have been going, can see some serious blubbing down their if they don't get 3 points tomorrow.
Foxxed Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 WE JUST RECORDED OUR BIGGEST VICTORY, EVEN WITHOUT VARDY. ****. That was amazing. And my god, Gray. I loved Schlupo's assit the most. The United game will obviously be a lot, lot more difficult. But still. I'm also glad Mahrez started playing at his own level again. But sad Okakazi didn't fill in for Vardy, but it'd be hard given his position. But four nil, ****. We obviously need to improve for United, but a fantastic, fantastic start.
KP Fox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 I bet Manu are sheeting themselves. We're gonna thrash them!
bluebeau Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Fantastic performance from all the lads. The speed that Demari Gray flew down the wing & put the ball in the box, brilliant. What a future that lad has, great signing. Was there actually a referee on the field today, can't remember seeing one? !!! I hope that useless asshole Moss was watching!
Foxxed Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Actually, the two things I was sure about, Drinky and Kanté bossing the midfield, didn't really happen, but I can't fault them. I think I enjoyed this match more than the Liverpool match. Equal with the Chelsea match, I think.
limeydale Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Henry wants to come out of retirement and play for us haha- the Claudio effect
surrifox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Kudos for the way Claudio set the team up - management masterclass - unbelievable that he manages in the same league that had fraudsters likeMc Laren and Sherwood Running sides
Finn Claw II Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Great result and piles the pressure on Spurs, I think they can't drop any points now. Awesome.
Tuna Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Anyone else spot Nugent in Vards private box? He was sitting next to Matty James.
