The whole world smiles Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Don't say too much there's nothing you can say to them that they haven't heard from family, coaches, broadcasters, fellow pro's. I'd just go with well done, enjoy it.
stripeyfox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 can't remember the walk-round being abandoned before. delayed, yes. It was certainly curtailed after the Championship presentation when the players got three quarters of the way round before the International Tw@t of the Year show commenced...
stripeyfox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Just relax, and enjoy it. And don't rush it. Take your time buddy. Sometimes in these "public" situations you want to just get it other with and back to your seat. Have a chat with Wes, crack a joke "do got reckon you could have Wasyl in a fight?"
Vlad the Fox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Say to him, 'they're writing us off already for next season, go and win it again'.
Sleathy Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 can't remember the walk-round being abandoned before. delayed, yes. It only went round about a quarter of the ground either last season or 2014 ....we were nearly trampled on. This would be SO ANNOYING this year !!!!!
notnow john Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 You might get asked by a 40-something bald bloke with a microphone pitchside on Saturday for an interview for Foxes Player. Please be nice to him... Bert Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 can't remember the walk-round being abandoned before. delayed, yes.Errrrr Doncaster at home?
Foxfan501 Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Soooo I'm the very very lucky fan that will present the trophy to Wes on Saturday. A bit nervous now as it gets closer.. What you say to the team if it was you? How about a Del Trotter... "well, we've had worse days..."
Izzy Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Soooo I'm the very very lucky fan that will present the trophy to Wes on Saturday. A bit nervous now as it gets closer.. What you say to the team if it was you? Was it you on Sky Sports News with Muzzy? Fair play son. Enjoy the day!
fuchsntf Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 He wont understand it, but tell him ,..'from this day forth .."Semper Eadam" ' Or simply...'Thank you for realising and making our the fans dreams come true'
Jimbo Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 I suppose you won't get much time to say anything but I'd want to give a full on speech! Something along the lines of "What you have achieved has given hope and inspiration, not just to Leicester, not just to football fans, but to the world. Anything is possible if you want it enough"
MrSpaM Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Lets just put it this way There are more people that have walked on the moon than have handed the premiership trophy to Leicester City
Izzy Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 You might get asked by a 40-something bald bloke with a microphone pitchside on Saturday for an interview for Foxes Player. Please be nice to him... [/quote)Forty something, come on Geoff !! He's younger than he looks actually, definately mid forties. I should know unfortunately, I had the misfortune of sitting next to him at secondary school for a few years and he was just as annoying then as he is on the radio now (only kidding)
Permafrost Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Please hand it to Wes at chest height or below, not raised. Let Wes do the raising. So many trophies these days are raised above the head by the presenter prior to the handover, ruining the moment for the recipient. Other than that - do what thou wilt.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Forty something, come on Geoff !! Early forties as it goes ! He's younger than he looks actually, definately mid forties. I should know unfortunately, I had the misfortune of sitting next to him at secondary school for a few years and he was just as annoying then as he is on the radio now (only kidding)
Merging Cultures Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 I saw you on Sky News the other day. You had your Grans shirt from the first game she went to watch. Enjoy the experience. Just let them know they've made the City and all the fans proud. Thank them for their hard work this season. And let them know we are excited to see what they can do next season.
Fennec-Fox Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 That's awesome!, well done!... don't worry about it and don't prepare anything... just be spontaneous and say and do whatever fits for the moment!... and most importantly ENJOYYYY ITTTTT!!!!!!! Wondering when the presentaion will take place, before? or after the game??...I know "Duhhhh"!!!, I thought after but then I read somewhere before .. So I honestly have no clues.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Soooo I'm the very very lucky fan that will present the trophy to Wes on Saturday. A bit nervous now as it gets closer.. What you say to the team if it was you? Congratulations, great stuff! I'd mention to Muzzy he's put on a bit of weight. Other than that, I'd suggest staying classy - nothing like "we're still waiting for you". Is the trophy arriving via Top's helicopter?
Jattdogg Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Good job today. Did you kiss it before passing it over to morgan? Looked like it
Chester Dontlie Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Yeah well done, I was hoping you'll make a scene, trip or drop it or something but it all went quite smooth and professional imo. Now admit it, you stole a kiss, didn't you
