StanSP Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Love stats like this. Certainly shows that it's been no fluke this season. And Sunderland . Pathetic. Never out of the bottom 4.
Harry - LCFC Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I don't think how long you've been in a certain position shows how good or bad a team you are. What matters is where you finish in the final league table.

What matters is where you finish in the final league table. True but we have spent more time in the top 3 though including the most at the top, shows how consistent we have been all season. Just been an insane season
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I don't think how long you've been in a certain position shows how good or bad a team you are. What matters is where you finish in the final league table. I agree. Some of our fans though were more obsessed with the time we spent at the bottom last season rather than the eventual finish. And let's not forget Derby were in the top six all of last season...until they fell out of it on the final day
Mark_w Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Was this done last season? Would be interesting to compare the two.
AKCJ Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Villa have spent more time in the top 4 than Spurs have in first place.
bovril Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Man City have spent 100 days at the top? When did this happen?!
Corky Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Man City have spent 100 days at the top? When did this happen?! They were top for the first five weeks or so then around October/ November too.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Man City have spent 100 days at the top? When did this happen?! Start of season, everyone thought they were shoe ins for the title...
Jimothy Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 When were Man City as low as 14th and 15th? They got off to a good start, can't remember them dropping so badly. Plus it seems odd it's only a couple of days and they've spent no days in the positions between there and 5th.

I think they went straight from 14-15th to the top then.
The Doctor Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 Look at that - Spurs have spent longer in the relegation zone than top. Clearly they should have won the title though for their beautiful passing
Jimothy Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 First game of the season was a Monday night for them. I think they went straight from 14-15th to the top then. Oh yeah, I forgot they played Monday night.

The 10 point gap is pretty hard to argue with, whilst it was close you could perhaps make a case for if x was y and y was z if you were a spurs fan, but 10 points is pretty impossible to argue with. Still, interesting enough stat which is all it was supposed to be I think.

Still, interesting enough stat which is all it was supposed to be I think. I heard a statistic we were bottom last season for 140 days, the same amount as we've been top this season. Just think, if Mahrez had scored those two penalties against Villa & Bournmouth we might have been 14 points clear! So glad those misses didn't cost us. At the time I felt it might do, a little like I felt James v Burnley last season might cost us dearly, when they scored from that last second free kick. Moments like these often define a season. No question that Dyer's goal against Villa defined both our and Villa's season.
Rincewind Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 From the top 5 only Spurs have not been top. Even Man Utd were top for 8 days. It would have been a bit sickening for us if Spurs had pipped us on the last day and ending with one day at top. Would it be a day though as the season would have finished?
Fox92 Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 Man City have spent 100 days at the top? When did this happen?! They started the season so well. I seem to recall them not even conceding in their first three opening games? (or something like that).
foxy boxing Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 140 days at the top ,we are there on merit and deserved to win the premier league and never below 8th
RowlattsFox Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 I don't remember ever being 8th. I remember laughing whilst singing top of the league at West Ham thinking we might as well make the most of it.
stripeyfox Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 I can't believe Villa were 4th! Must have been first day of the season when (I think) they beat Bournemouth!
stripeyfox Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 Spurs title challenge never really happened. In reality, the never even got close. Once Man City started to fold, all we had to do was hold our nerve. Could have even lost a couple of games! Easy to say now, of course!
David Hankey Posted 10 May 2016 Posted 10 May 2016 I agree, it matters not a jot where you are in the table during the season but where you finish up after 38 games.
