Matty James / Richie De Laet

By that logic then kasper is better then both banks and shilton?

Morgan better than Walsh?

How can your argue that they are not. What did Walsh achieve when he was here? It was admirable I admit and I love him. Banks was class and Shilton well he actually went OK to better things when he left us, likewise Lineker. They didn't do what we've done this season. That is the real quiz.

Ignoring part of your post, but kasper is now better than Englands finest ever keeper who helped win a world cup, because he has won one title with us?

Or kaspers achievements in a Leicester shirt are better than banks?

Can't believe people are writing James off after the journey we've had in the last 14 months.

Some people have already forgotten who we are I swear.

If you believe what we've achieved this season is the biggest sporting achievement in history then yes.

De Laet can go, but I've always rated James. I thik he has the potential to become a top player like Danny has done and I'd like to see him given a fair crack at things here. Wouldn't mind a reunion with Drinky in the midfield if Kanté goes

It may be the biggest achievement ever in sporting history but that doesn't make Kasper better than Banks.

What a single player achieves at a club is equally down to what's around them so it would be unfair to judge an individual players quality on the number of titles / medals alone.

Muzzie for example spent many a year in a side that had no chance to win anything - which in a way helped amplify his quality as an individual - but could you compare him to Drinkwater now.

Well yes, you could subjectively, but because many different people will draw their conclusion from different perspectives there is no truly right answer.

The Banks vs Schmeichal argument is an interesting one as well - because I think most would err towards Gordan, but you could easily make a case for Kasper if you were that way inclined.

It does make all this conversation a little pointless, even if it always interesting to see how people justify reasonings on these matters, especially the ones who end up tying themselves up in knots whilst doing so!

Kasper is fantastic, but Shilton edges Banks for me, but they were probably the best two goalkeepers the world has seen. Shilton, if it hadn't been for that Leeds idiot Don Revie picking Ray Clemence for a time would have been near 200 England caps. Untouchable.

I'm not saying that Kante isn't a beast but he's had one amazing season. Same as all the lads and yes I for one fooking love it! We won the league!

But being truthful cambiasso is and was (for me) an all round better player. He's won more things in his career than just our one season. Let's not get too big headed or carried away...

Next year will be our true test. Yes this is the best season we have ever had as a club let's be honest none of us thought we would win the league at the start of last year and half of us had never heard of Kante....that's the point I'm making

lol the middle sentence is a ridiclious statement, he's at the end of his career of course he would have won more, Kante is shaping up to be a much better player.

James was top notch at point of his injury and only 24. Agree with the masses, a loan out up to say January 2016 and the Club can take a view then. I would hope he gets back to his previous form.

January 2016 don't leave him to much time to get match fit!

Let's do the time-warp again

Offload the pair of them. De Laet is not good enough defensively. He is a defender first and foremost. Grt caught wrong side too often. Even though James was unfortunate to get injured, we have 4 others currently in front of him and we are looking to sign another CM. He needs to play, loan him to a Championship side on a months by month basis at best.

James for me is a class act and tbh I don't think there is any reason he can't progress in just the same way as DD has .... Pleeeeeease don't hand him over to Nige !

De Laet is a liability defensively, plenty good enough for championship though.

James though, I'd keep if Inler leaves (which surely is a certainty?)

He was hitting some decent form before he got that horrible injury, still has a lot of potential.

Harsh on de Laet. He's been our best RB in years before the season just gone. No need for some of the hate. Yes it's time to move on but no need to slag him off!

Well said!

Our defence was far less exposed when RDL was replaced by D Simpson, and although he's served us well, I don't see that he really has a future with this club and would be better placed in a club where he'll get regular starts.

Matty James is another matter, we ain't seen the best of him yet and I think we still need a player of his capabilities, I'd like to think that he wouldn't go out on loan, but be here to be part of the first team rotation set up that we'll need to cope with the extra fixtures we won.

Kante's probably the best midfielder to ever play football, let alone play for Leicester.

I so agree with this, been watching City 40 years and I cannot think of a player that has excited me so much, obviously some have come close but Kante is simply the best.

I will admit tho when he came on first game of the season I did think we had bought an headless chicken, little did we know

Has Matty gone to Derby? Is this confirmed or just a rumour?

I'll be sad if this is permanent, my favourite player and a guy with a lot of potential

I think it's just a rumour but those who want to appear to be itk are reporting it as if it's definitely going to happen.

They have no more idea than you or I.
