Bobby Hundreds Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Hope England go out early. Fell out of love with the whole thing after 2006 1996
easilee Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 ? Soz mate. Must have posted while you were editing. I only saw 'I would have noble and drinkwater starting lol'
Wymsey Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Shame, but expected. Also not sure about Sterling; has seemed to drift off whilst at Man City. Can see Henderson shooting wide in good positions again and Sterling diving.
Solihullfox Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 So after the appalling performance from England in the World Cup in 2014 Hodgson picks six of the midfield who lacked any creativity between them for this tournament Barkley - poor season, no form. Henderson - back from injury, unimpressive season. Lallana - flatters to deceive Milner - works hard, steady, tracks back (exactly what Drinkwater has done in his England performances) Sterling - poor season on the whole Wilshere - enough said re injuries Roy has not been able to pick Gerrard or Lampard as they have retired and Oxlade- Chamberlain is injured. The only midfield changes from 2014 are the addition of Dier and Alli which I don't think anyone can argue with. And.......a Premier League Champion who has consistently been at the top of his game all season still can't find his way in to the squad despite the injury laden midfield picks, poor player form and already proven failures at the 2014 tournament. A real shame for Drinky.
dylanlegend Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 What is the date injured players can be replaced? Wouldn't be surprised if Wheelchair or Henderbore get injured before the tourney and mean DD could step up
Finnaldo Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Bit extreme to stop supporting England after this though stupid decision but it's sounds a lot like the criticism some were giving sour grapes Spurs fans not too long ago...
Guest Col city fan Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Hardly a surprise is it. Everyone knew that if Wilshere and Henderson could walk they would have gone ahead of Drinky. No surprise at all to me. I've made a nice few quid on it. Regarding 'everyone knew'..we'll no, they didn't. There were many posters convinced in other threads that he was going. If Woy is anything it's predictable.
dylanlegend Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 The only thing that worries me is if DD feels he has to move on to become an England regular
Lloydwasmylife Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Meanwhile Spain are leaving out Costa, Torres and Mata because they've had underwhelming seasons.. keep up Roy.
Dawko Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Sterling ? Sterling ??? Never seen him play a good game, always on his arse.
easilee Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 West Ham fans calling in to talksport saying DD should have been selected. I feel for Danny. Everyone in the football world knows he should be in the team but as someone else mentioned, fame before form.
Koke Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Meanwhile Spain are leaving out Costa, Torres and Mata because they've had underwhelming seasons.. keep up Roy. And Germany have left out Marco Reus because of fitness concerns. Can you imagine England leaving out someone of Reus quality due to fitness concerns?
dylanlegend Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 I kind of understand Wheelchair cos when he's on form he is decent, but Henderson? Even the Liverpool fans can't understand why he is in. He's pants and the fact he's just been injured adds insult to injury
MrSpaM Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 I've already said it but I think the most baffling thing about all this is Rashford's inclusion in the squad. Every single person I've spoke to since the game at the weekend thought he had a poor game other than the goal which was a lucky deflection that required a tap in to score. The rest of the game he spent losing the ball and falling over, he created nothing for the team. The complete over hyping he received on the night I was just sitting there thinking 'Have I just watched the same game as all these pundits?!?' And now there's actually people out there thinking he should be starting up front with Kane, have people lost their minds?!? And all of a sudden he's being whisked away to the Euros, unbelievable
Wymsey Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Would rather listen to repeats of Joey Essex on his educated views on the EU Referendum than seeing under-performing/over-rated players ruin it for Vardy and other players who have actually merited a place.
nativefox Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 If and when we're not top of the league next year (God I hope not I've forgotten what it's like not to be) he won't get picked again because owl face or whoever is in charge will say he's not on form. DD can't win either way. The FA need to have a manager with balls but that will never happen. Too many £££ at stake.

And all of a sudden he's being whisked away to the Euros, unbelievable Agreed. Rashford is nowhere near the level of Owen / Rooney at their age. I fully expect him to not play much under Jose next season and end up at somewhere like Sunderland. When I've watched him he can finish (when the defending is shocking) maybe he has good positioning but looks way too lightweight to me. It's only cos he plays for Man Utd that's it.
nnfox Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 I absolutely despair of the current England situation. It is beyond a joke and shows what an idiot Woy is. I mean, come on, why play DD in a game and a half of the preparation games if he wasn't going to take him? Only one of this season's premier league winners in the squad when there could have been 4. I will mainly be supporting Vardy, Wales and Rep of Ireland.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 Think last time I felt passionate about England was 2002. The new kit is the most exciting them about them now.
pleatout Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 What is the date injured players can be replaced? Wouldn't be surprised if Wheelchair or Henderbore get injured before the tourney and mean DD could step up From the regulations Should a listed player become seriously injured or ill before his team’s first match in the final tournament, he may only be substituted if a doctor from the UEFA Medical Committee and the team doctor concerned both confirm that the injury or illness is sufficiently serious to prevent the player from taking part in the final tournament. Subject to the final approval of the UEFA administration, this injured or ill player may be replaced on the list of 23 players registered for participation in the final tournament.
Manwell Pablo Posted 31 May 2016 Posted 31 May 2016 O well. Will judge woy on how the team performs not how many Leicester players he takes, had a feeling he'd do this. Anything less than a QF the man has to go after some of the decisions he's made and formations he's considering using.
