Bert Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 Doing a presentation on videolink at work at 2pm....can't get out of it. Therefore gutted..... Call in sick. Or halfway through the day claim that you're sick. Easy.
Vacamion Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 Anyone remember the likely lads episode where they were trying to avoid the England v Hungary result until the highlights were on late at night? That will be me, I was going to finish work but I've told my kids I'll record it then we'll watch it when we they get back from school. Which means ive got to to spend the last couple of hours working trying to avoid the score or anyone who will let it slip. I am working at a client's office until 5pm (can't get out of it) then a 2 hour drive home. Ever the optimist, I am recording the match in the hope I'll get to see it without knowing the score. Realistically, however, the office I'll be working in is in Scotland and has 250 staff, so there will be 250 mad Welsh fans who will be shouting the odds, should England fail to win. FML.
Wymsey Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 If Bale gets injured, Wales will do a Pulis hoof it and hope. Reckon Bellemy or Earnshaw would still offer more than Robson-Kanu. The day Finnegan may have egg on his face after the game.
Tuna Posted 15 June 2016 Posted 15 June 2016 If Vardy doesn't start I'll be supporting Wales Will you be supporting Arsenal if he moves?

I'm going to switch my phone to airplane mode and stick my earphones in and listen to some loud music, I'm going off to do a job where I won't come into contact with too many people and if I do they'll be pensioners who I can warn off, . I'll then take the long way home using quiet country lanes avoiding any where built up where I may see happy or sad fans. I've planned it to military precision, though my biggest concern is that when I get home the kids will have found out and blurt it out, however they've been warned.
4everfox Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 Will you be supporting Arsenal if he moves? Absolutely not but I do follow both England and Wales and Vardy being a Leicester player is the tipping point for me in this match, had he not been included in the squad I would definitely have been supporting Wales but I'm now on the fence. I don't mind who wins personally but if Vardy doesn't play I'll be leaning towards Wales. I'm a Leicester fan first and foremost, international football doesn't interest me as much. I'm lucky enough to have the luxury of choice even if I am basing my decision on Leicester bias.
foxfanazer Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 I'll be working for this but i work in a bookies so will still get to watch it. Might lock the door for a couple of hours Not feeling confident if we play the same team as the other night. 3 centre backs on Harry Kane after the way he played against Russia
Finnegan Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 It's starting to annoy me a bit how much the media are desperate to drum this up as some on pitch war with mind games cracking off all over the place. It's been one of the worst examples of journalists over analysing and miss quoting footballers and coaches I've seen in ages. I've watched quite a few of the press conferences and they've all just been fairly relaxed, the players emphasising that they know each other well and it's not much of a big deal. There's two comments they're latching on to from Bale, the first one, about England players getting in the team, madness. Firstly, he was having a laugh, big grin all over his face. Secondly, what's he going to say? "Well, actually, most of the English players are better than ours to be honest, I'd love to have someone as good as Ali and Vardy in our team, we'd be loads better." What footballer has and will ever say that? The second one, about passion, he stated pretty clearly that both sides would probably be thinking the same thing, that England will think that they want it more and that they're more ready. He's just talking up their confidence and convincing the Welsh fans they want it, especially given a few of our players are English born. So they ask Wayne Rooney the same question trying to shit stir and now the BEEB are trying to claim that the atmosphere in England's camp is tense and nervous because Rooney didn't answer. He's not nervous, it's a stupid question. "Oh yeah, I'd love Gareth on this team, Sterling's just crap isn't he?" I don't think so.

The weirdest one was asking Aaron Ramsey what he thought about Harry Kane taking corners. Why would he give a ****?
Nalis Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 Yeah been pretty shocking journalism. I mean, Chris Smalling was asked about 5/6 questions about Leo the Lion...
Finnegan Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 The weirdest one was asking Aaron Ramsey what he thought about Harry Kane taking corners. Why would he give a ****? Funny how they don't mention Adam Lallana pointing out Bale is one of his closest friends.
Lesteban Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 In work two hours early this morning, taking a 2 hour lunch break down the pub. Not too confident, but we must win.

I finish at 3 so I might have to go hide for a hour somewhere.
Merging Cultures Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 As an Englishman with Welsh heritage I'm really looking forward to today's game! Win-win for me!
kingcarr21 Posted 16 June 2016 Author Posted 16 June 2016 WTF is this. I'm actually disturbed looking at this picture. Looks like the cowardly lion from Wizard of Oz
Kitchandro Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 Come on Wales. (Unless vardy plays) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jit Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 Hopefully we will make a few changes today, hope to see Vardy and Wiltshire for Kane and Alli. I think Owl face made a bad decision just taking Sterling and Lallana as wingers we should've taken Theo, Valencia and Carroll for Barkley, Clyne and Rashford. Also what is our plan B? No target man, when Wales play 6 at the back all hogging the 18 yard box may find it difficult to break down.
IOWFOX Posted 16 June 2016 Posted 16 June 2016 Spending the afternoon watching the games in the pub with a polish landlady. England and poland win and I am sure the shots will be flowing!
