Jeffs assets, age, pace, power and flexibility make him far more valuable than a paltry £12,000,000.  I still believe he is improving and it could all click in place and we'd have a world beater on our hands. Let's also not forget Pulis is no mug!

Do you remember the last Leicester player he bid for?

A lot of people said they would drive him to West Brom themselves for £7m, I wonder what happened to that lad whose name escapes me?

We should loan him to WBA for a year and insist he only plays left back.

Should sort out one of the three relegation places and we'll get his comedy roadshow back for the following season.

Yes we are but sell a few key players, make some bad decisions and we could end up in the championship in a few years (look what happened to Blackburn / Leeds).

Pay the players what they are worth but we need to be careful we don't overpay them.

Instead of looking purely at transfer fees like us fans do, the club will need to consider the whole package (wages is the biggest expenditure of any football club).

Hopefully Schlupp will stay but not try and cash in on our success with inflated wage demands.

My view is that the players we currently have are are worth far than the value of the team this time last year. We have effectively spent nothing yet,£32M out, £32M in.

The current value of our squad must be in the region of about £200M, so why are people so worried about the finances of the club. Futhermore there will be about £150M coming in to the club as well this season. We are champions league man!

But he lacks a footballing brain though. It's so obvious. Yes he has these attributes but he spends half the game dithering out of position looking like he doesn't know what to do. He's very inconsistent.

You have to constantly strive to get value though whether that be buying or selling. How much you have in the bank or future income is by and large irrelevant.

I think in his case the lack of a football brain helps him as if he doesn't have a clue what he's going to do how is his opponent going to

I know all that dude. I was commenting on the apparent panic on this forum from a finance point of view. The value of the players we have now combined to income this year, compared to that calculation last year would evaluate at being three times better off this year and we have spent nothing other than some increases in salaries.

'Don't Panic!'

I just wonder if Jeff could be further developed into a central midfield player. Picture a 4-3-3 set up with a well trained Schlupp on the left side of a middle three. He has defensive and attacking attributes, great strength, physicality and awesome pace. If the club could develop his ability to close down midfield players and attackers in opposition teams, intercept and win tackles in the middle of the park he could become a really great player. I know it's quite a big 'IF', but blimey, it could be truly sensational. I like Jeff.

I can't see anyone who can replace Schlupp.

I vaguely recollect, did his surname begin with a V? :)

I still think people will be eating their words over Jeff too, hopefully time will tell.

Schlupp is a team homegrown player, and the club is not going to have the four required in a 25-man squad for Champions League. And given if Lawrence, Inler, De Laet, and Moore (and maybe Hamer? Benalouane?) leave, we are going to have a small squad to begin with...I think Schlupp would have to fetch well over 20 million even to be worth it. And I think CR has plans for him in general.

Maybe too much of an ask but, having lost Kante, it would be great to see someone with Jeff's turn of speed to be able to burst out from defensive midfield positions to initiate a quick counter. He just needs to add all the other bits to his game

... especially tackling and reading the game. That's some development.

Our team are the league champions, have a look at the wages paid by the other top 5 or 6 clubs. It cost money to employ players, those players are valuable as they are league winners, while we may accept that all footballers are overpaid, if we want to remain as a league leader, we have to pay the players what they are worth.

Our owners are rich and are not stupid, there will be relegation clauses, and it is not just bad ownership decisions that left Leeds, Pompey etc in the positions they are in. We can pay our players $30,000 and that will also lead to relegation.

The market decides the value of players and if we want to win, we must pay.

That's the one, quick lad who got about 5 goals that season.

The club must think Brady.... I'd rather have Jeff

Then they must be crazy.

Jeff has far more speed and far more power.

He's already Dyer on steroids.

I think he's going to the next level this season.

Can't wait for him to have his 'Gareth Bale moment' in the champions league this season then instantly be worth £100 million

Schlupp and Vardy through on goal against Barca. Schlupp tries a cheeky sideways ball to set-up Vardy and accidently smashes it into the top left corner.

TV cuts to Lloyd Dyer in the studio "I taught the lad that!"

Schluppy's great - a really positive influence at times...and those times count when it comes to winning titles. Quick? He's a nightmare to catch and to mark. the space he makes for others with some of his runs and his threat turns a sixpence into a desert. I'm just frustrated by his shooting but judging by the publicity he gets it can't all be bad! lol
