ozleicester Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 Just a quick thank you to everyone here at Foxestalk. For most of you living in or near Leicester you may never understand just how important and meaningful Foxestalk can be. I have been a member here since 2007, back then there was virtually noone i could talk to about City, Dad had died, my brothers lived thousands of Klm's away and any friends that were interested in football really only cared about the premier league and the "big clubs". When i said Leicester city, most people said.. who? Being able to come online and learn so much more about my club from people who cared and understood why a game against Colchester United could be so important was just a joy, Those early days in the match day live chat where i would hear the goal horn and see the "HUUUUUME" a full minute before the online radio coverage actually told me it had happened. Being able to read the opinions of those who had actually been at the game and understood the greats and the disasters and felt the real sadness and actual elation. Sorry, ive rambled and its not quite such a quick thanks.... to everyone on Foxestalk, thank you! Whether ive argued with you, rep pointed everything youve said, ignored you, or had no interaction with you at all, each of you has helped to make this last 12 months, the best footballing twelve months of my life and it wouldnt have been 1/100th as good without Foxestalk. Thank you
Beliall Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 10,000 posts in 12 month? you spammer I swear his profile said he joined in 2015 yesterday
foxoffderby Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 I have to agree. I haven't lived in Leicester for about 25 years but I go to every home match, Foxestalk is a great medium for me to find out about all things Leicester. Great work Mark and the mods
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 Nice post and it's an excellent forum in terms of usability & features.
Fox92 Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 You joined a day before me Oz Agree though, great forum and most threads/debates are brilliant.

Guest Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 When you say "thanks to everyone" you really mean "Thanks FiF" don't you?
VLC86 Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 Can we turn this into a collection of thank you's to FT? Thank you FoxesTalk for helping me realise that if you are a Charlton fan with shit hair you are allowed to take someone to Burger King on a first date.
MC Prussian Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 For a moment I thought you'd be saying farewell forever because you've had enough of it. But good on you. Hopefully, you'll be able to see more live games in the months to come.
Great Boos Up Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 Perhaps it's being away from Leicester that actually brings your posts into FT in such a tempered manner, while others like myself may just burst into blind emotion and spit vitriolic hatred after a beer or two knowing that tomorrow Leicester is on our doorstep. lovely post and felt your emotion.
Lcfc_lass10 Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 Great post OZ. I personally enjoy all the reaction after a game to see other people's opinion. Oh and I also enjoy the meltdowns
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 This is a great forum kudos to Mark making it a user friendly space to interact with. As with everything though the people and personalities on a platform are the most important part and by and large we have great posters with great knowledge on lots of topics.
Tielemans63 Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 I too have no real friends. God bless Foxes talk.
Thracian Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 Glad it's been good for you ozLeicester. Greatest credit really goes to Mark and the Mods for their vision and commitment to the site's evolution and continued success. They rate close on 10/10 for me whether we agree or disagree. Cos it's they who've set the standards and maintained the vigour of the place. .
Merging Cultures Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 Oz you wuss. Love it. I've not been around as long as you, old chap, but absolutely love the forum. Mark, you deserve a mention at half time during a pre season opener.
Carl the Llama Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 Hear hear; as someone who inherited City through family ties and has never lived in the area this place has been an invaluable source of conversation and information.
Jattdogg Posted 20 July 2016 Posted 20 July 2016 Born in leicester but moved to canada as a baby. Always been linked to lcfc since i was a kid. Come back to visit family every now and then (and catch a game). This forum keeps me up to date with all things lcfc and some things leicester of course. Dont know what id do without you ladies
davieG Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 I hate the damn thing it keeps drawing me back in away from other things in life and that's getting shorter by the day. As if LCFC itself wasn't enough of a distraction. FU Foxestalk I once had a life .

As if LCFC itself wasn't enough of a distraction. FU Foxestalk I once had a life . I'd have given that +10 if I'd been allowed! At some point, I'm going to have to quit FT completely, before what's left of my life dribbles away on here! On a more complimentary note, I've yet to see a better fans' site - or even one of a similar level. Thanks to all responsible.
foxy boxing Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 thanks foxestalk too, great having you hear seeing other fans of leicesters opinions and views and seeing their memories of the foxes. brilliant stuff
Finnegan Posted 21 July 2016 Posted 21 July 2016 It's testament to the quality of the community that this place has kingfox, Leicestepool, Kitchensink, ibbosuk, Col, @ScouseFox and Lamby and I've still not left. Fair play Mark.
