BroughtonFox Posted 20 September 2016 Share Posted 20 September 2016 He should've played tonight. Or at least came on when Wasyl went off!

lcfcben76 Posted 20 September 2016 Share Posted 20 September 2016 Should have definitely came on after sending off, sorry but Claudio got that wrong. No need to play Amartey with united coming up when an actual centre half is on the bench
STUHILL Posted 21 September 2016 Share Posted 21 September 2016 Very susprised to not seem him start or at least come on. Surely, Benny has more chance of a future here than Was, and he showed glimpses last season of being a decent CB. Not sure the reasoning but as others have suggested, you wonder if he will be gone again in January, if we get another CB in. At the moment, Claudio shows no signs of favouring him over Was or Hernandez (of even Armartey!)
Foxes1 Posted 21 September 2016 Share Posted 21 September 2016 Now that Wasyl is suspended can Benalouane be named in the team or on the bench for a Premiership game, I don't think he can I may be wrong but didn't we submit a 25 man squad for the Premiership season and Benny wasn't in it. Also we cannot add names to the squad so we have to go with what we have.

Also Fiorentina were happy to take him on loan last year and they arent the worse side
RastaDog Posted 21 September 2016 Share Posted 21 September 2016 It's indeed curious why CR didn't bring him on. You would have thought it was a given. I wonder how he'll explain that to Benny? It can only have been a 'tactical' decision. Did Amartey actually play at CB? Or was he more midfield? I don't know because my stream died (neighbour probably downloading porn again). Once I told her about the new moves in the Kamasutra they were showing.......I won the discussion.

Mickyblueeyes Posted 1 October 2016 Share Posted 1 October 2016 A Claudio signing which seems to have disapeared! Sorry criticism no matter how constructive is blasphemous. I am disappointed tht we seem to have given up on him leaving us desperately short should a CB get injured.

davieG Posted 24 December 2016 Share Posted 24 December 2016 by Graeme Jackson Saturday Dec 24, 2016. 09:00 Tunisian defender Yohan Benalouane says he will not give up on his career at Premier League champions Leicester City. The 29-year-old player has been a peripheral figure at the club, but was handed a boost this week when a legal ruling ordered Italian club Fiorentina to pay him outstanding wages. Benalouane told TMW: "I'm very good. I want to get involved and continue my journey. “In England I did not find much space, but I continue to train well to be ready. I'm ready to get back in the game. "There are situations to be considered, but I will not be in a hurry. I want to make the best choice. I am always the player who you have known in Italy. “At Leicester I have not proven myself and it is a great sin. I know that soon I will return and prove people wrong." The French-born player has also represented Sainte-Etienne, Cesena, Parma and Atalanta in his club career.

Unfortunately for Benny the best he can hope for will be bench as I can see Was or Amartay replacing Huth and obviously Hernadez for Simpson. It's a shame though. I've heard good things at U23 level which is fairly competitive with some good talent, especially in the premier league teams. It's bizarre that Benny was a CR signing and he's just not had a look in. I can understand last season but we've been a shambles at the back in the league this season.
